anyone else have any thoughts like this

I'am really looking forward to pets and mounts in adventure mode cause then when I kill a roc I will take its eggs hatch them raise them ride the biggest and strongest one and rule the world with a iron fist

Feed radioactive eggs to Dwarves. Anything that eats the Dwarves gets super cancer, and liver poisoning.

PLAY DWARF FORTRESS
LET VAMPIRES THRIVE
PLAY VAMPIRE DWARF

Hopefully that will work. Eventually.

edit: Better idea. Play adventure mode, retire. Play fortress mode, wait for your adventure to come, turn him into a vampire, abandon the fortress, then play as him. :)
