At the risk of being helpful, I can tell you that I've never seen one take up that much space. They're usually much smaller in my experience.
Thanks for being helpful! :) I guess I was right about this one being unusually large.

you cant mine it out but if you can clear out the undead infesting it, youve got a pre made fortres

Hm. Dwarven Demonic Fortress. Demonic Dwarven Fortress. I approve of this idea.
dwarf fortress: now with added demons.
Waht? Always demons. Always dig deeper. Take the demons, the demons are now yours as well.
no, the actual fortress has added demons.
The stone that makes up the fortress? Yeah, that's not stone, those are demon parts. Why does it appear as if it is stone? Because the collective consciousness of the Dworfs refuses to accept such madness. :I Yeap, the fortress and demons are now yours.

Whuh? Demons are overrated.
Really. What do they do? They have long and menacing descriptions and they kill a lot of people. Oh, great. It's not like we and our dwarves don't do the same things every day. I think dwarves are even worse than demons. Take a look at this board, for example, where innumerable atrocities committed by dwarves are recorded. Blasphemies no demon would even dare to think of. The minds of thousands of overseers united in this place form the perfection of cruelty, their dwarves uncaring instruments of torture as they tear apart the earth on their quest for treasures, booze and socks. Purposeful, malignant and unstoppable if guided by the incarnations of Armok himself.
No, I think the time has come for the dwarves to get what is rightfully theirs, and replace the demons and zombies as infestations of the nether world.

I've got an 88 z-levels deep demonic fortress. I am so moving in there.

wait, these sadistic peoples that would kill an upset kitten purely to sell the meat do not want to believe walls are made of flesh?

have you been smoking with those elves?

Also the people who set up desensitising systems that drop kittens onto spikes in their dining rooms. It does seem hard to believe, but maybe there's a few things they ARE squeemish about.

Are you talking about the assimilation of the demon and undead populations into the dwarven one?

Or do you simply mean to cage everything, then release the horrors of the underworld onto those damned elves.

EDIT: That is one long quote.

I doubt that caging is going to work. Runesmithing them might do the job, though as I've stated, I don't care much for demons. Beware the Bay12er! It undulates rythmically as it types! (Somehow that sounds... wrong.)

I say mod in playable demons where you have to start in a little cave and dig up. We'll get to see first hand when the demons actually work out what a pick is for.

Funny that what seals demons in hell can be broken with a modded in -wooden training pick-, and what escapes hell can be captured by a spider ---A SPIDER MIND YOU--- and stored indefinitely  in a +flimsiwood cage+. Demons are harmless.

Harmless, that is, until they start throwing fireballs, breaking doors and slaughtering everything in sight.

Also, maybe this quote will develop sentience if it grows large enough.

I once gave a clown diplomat my mayor's dining room. My mayor wasn't happy about it. But the clown was so happy about it she went berserk (with happiness) after only a couple of months living in the beautiful hall. Does that count as assimilation?

Connect the dining hall to the entrance. Or just reroute the visitors' entrance through it somehow.
