Another year I see passing by, the game gets better all the time.
To work too hard isn't a crime, but you really should relax, toady guy.
Worlds come and go and die, that's the way of the game you designed.
But don't worry about the mountains that we've mined, or the tears over dead dwarves we cry.

We love the ways in which they perish, so many to name each one I cherish.
Goblin hordes, and human swords, the elven bow, as to the depths we go.
Trollish rams, broken dams, collapsing stone, walking bone.
These tales we make and tell, of blood, and sweat, and self-made hell.

Seven times a thousand and more, these dwarven founders venture bold.
They dig deep in search of ore, the copper, iron, platinum and gold.
They build a home and feel the gore, the death that makes their blood run cold.
These sagas written of blood, and sweat, and enemies of old.

Kingdoms rise and fall, their wars great, their buildings tall.
And in death they'll find new life, as all things are ageless, even strife.
Leaders lead to death and beyond, these ancient kingdoms and their bonds.
These words of fury, of blood, of sweat, of dreams, of greed, of envy, of power, and of dwarves.

The dwarf puffed on his pipe. "It is a glory hole, laddie. When my people mined this area, we fashioned many such areas."
