My Large male C is currently working on how to turn a door knob... front door, no perches nearby... and he's getting damn close to opening the door.
My other cat does that, but he has a perch.

The best advice i can give on owning/operating a cat is to get a cat tree and lots of cat toys when they're young, that way they grow up with their own stuff to play on knock around, and they'll be more understanding about not playing on/knocking around your stuff.

The continuing effort to grow a proper DF beard for the DF meetup is ongoing, but stymied by genetics.

I like the kitten. But I'm worried that if you replaced that guitar with a banjo you will have mistakenly completed your transformation into a hillbilly.

edit: sorry for posting this I just couldn't resist.

Is there a furless belly gene that only develops after the cat reaches maturity?  If so mine has it.

Cats will shave parts of their body using the sharp, fine front teeth if they are infested with parasites, usually because they find it less uncomfortable to go with exposed skin than they do to go about with fleas irritating the most sensitive regions of their body.  The usual areas they shave around are the stomach and the "base of the tail".

That's good to hear.  Now if only we could get rid of her flees.

Err...  That's one reason why it might be happening.  I had another cat who started going bald on his stomach like that.  We had just moved and then gotten a dog as another pet.  The cat was already a skittish type, and basically had a nervous breakdown.  He started obsessively cleaning himself, including licking himself into patchy baldness and coughing the hair up all over the place.  Settled himself well enough after about a year.

Then again, he might have known what he was doing and was just fighting a new flea infestation.  Never thought of it that way.

The cats stay inside and the dog stays outside.  And he only bothers them if they walk up to the back door.

Really depends on the animals; The black one is technically a cat; the white one is either a dog or a horse, though this picture is from a while ago, so he's grown a little since then.

They are still great friends... somewhere I have a picture of the cat curled up on top of him. In fact he spends most of his time cowering to our old cat.

I'd say the secret is you have to introduce the puppy to the cat once the cat feels secure in it's place. At least a few months should pass.

No, it's the other way around in Raws. Dwarves are 800, so the cat's 1.6 times faster.
I have been believing that Dwarves were naturally 1000.  Am I wrong?
RAWCHECK!
...Done.
No speed tag on dwarfs.  Default value.
Default is 1000, right?
