Greetings my most treasured and valued friends. I have been away a long time, you know how life goes sometimes you've got a lot of free time and energy and sometimes the only free time you've got alone to yourself is when you're asleep or taking a shower or other bathroom activities. I want to start making more free time for myself. I need to flex my mind because I feel it slowly dieing from under usage ( I use it, don't get me wrong, but not for anything creative or imaginative)
I've got a couple of questions I'd like a little feedback on. Any help or comments would be welcome
Even if they are to say "GO AWAY WE DON'T WANT YOU BACK HERE!"
#1 - I want to be able to work on my story any where I am. Are there any solutions that you guys are aware of that allow you to work online with a text editor comparable to Word 2010 that store your work in a cloud type situation. I've heard google docs is like that but I've never used it before, is it as powerful as word ? MY goal is to be able to work on my story any where I may be on any computer I may have access to at the time. I'm also going to be picking up a netbook with my tax return so I can take it with me. My main problem writing stories in the past have been trying to find alone time with my home PC where all my work was stored (Also I used to write at work but they blocked this website and sent me a warning e-mail. I don't know if you've read my story but that little part about Armok sitting on a throne of souls kind of pissed off my companies IT guy, I violated about every policy we have with that one)
#2 I'm going to start a new story. I was thinking of telling the story of the founding of the goblin fortress mentioned in my first story and go through their history with extreme detail leading up to the point where they go to war with Clan Stonemane. I want to attempt to make my writing more mature and less , uh , not mature ?
(I'm off to a terrible start damn it!) Is there anything else you might suggest I start off with? Once I get back into the flow what I'd really like to do is edit my original story, correct mistakes but keep the story over all the same. Then once I've done that go back to the point just after the battle with the goblins and undo my cop out where I rush to the end of the story and fill in the blanks (I know that pissed a lot of people off)
any thoughts?
