Not necessarily, generally shank is going to be the adjective of utilizing a shiv to poke holes in someone, but you can use it as a noun as well.

But yeah, improvised poky things. Or stabby things.

According to modern slang, yes. But according to the dictionary, that isn't in the definition at all. The closest thing to that is about mishitting the ball with the shaft of the club in golf. I kind of wish I was wherever he was in the game so our next action could be to golf with each other.

Yes, I do know that it is slang. But in the current situation...I must've mistaken it by a long shot.

Anyway, let's just assume that  :)

And what is the status of the other NPCs, all I read was the two that approached the Cornucopia along with the Alliance(?), they scattered and ran away?

At least at night they will show us who died in the fray, and the cannon shots will signal deaths.

About that light...that meant something?

Edit: I'm surprised, no deaths at all. Next day would get a lot deadlier I suppose.

Considering that the buildings that were lit up a probably ones with people in them I sure there will soon be a  lot more deaths.

They are all regular skyscrapers :3 Think of New York's central buildings. Probably about 30~50 stories.

Oorah. Urban environment. Time for typical badassery in the city! And no civilians to harm! :D

Ah, Mirrors Edge. :D

Well, more like Assasin's Creed since we'll be trying to kill each other.
