Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now there's just one order of business to be cleared up for tomorrow, what shall Mysterious Mr. Gnome's name be?

THE PLOT THICKENS.

Name the gnome Dr. Hardshaft.

>Jack: Investigate hut. Flirt with anything inside.

I have the feeling we won't be seeing the inside of this hut for a while. But we should seduce who/whatever resides within.

Do NOT sell the gnome. Bad things will happen. It will come for you.

Catacomb spelunking is surprisingly lucrative. I have a household on my game who are the richest in the neighbourhood. 99% of their income comes from found items in the catacombs. Six adults, all unemployed, who spend as much time in the catacombs as possible.

The only bad thing in the catacombs is if they fail a check, they come out looking singed and semi-naked and have 'Mauled by a bear', where they refuse to go into the catacombs again that day. The singedness makes them far less likely to succeed in social interactions I think. But that's easily counteracted by a bath.

Seriously. The best haul I've had in there for one day is about $8,800. Two 'Gigantic Space Rocks' found by one person. $8k. That's HUGE for one day's work. And if they come out of the catacombs without having been mauled by the bear, you can often send them RIGHT BACK IN.

On the flip side of course, you can earn nothing at all for a few days, so subsisting off the catacombs is doable but a bit close-to-the-bone until you've got good savings.

The only problem that being singed causes is that it makes it dangerous to do "dangerous" things while singed, like fighting fire, or getting zapped by an appliance. If they get hit with a nasty effect while singed, it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll be killed by it.

Singed is easily rid of by washing.

And apparently, without Daredevil or Brave, you stand a 1-2% chance of dying from being mauled by the Giant Zombie Bear in the catacombs.

Ooh, I know, maybe you can exchange pseudo-musical notes with the Kat by letting it use the toy thing and you using a guitar!

Nice so far.  She is not seductive...at all.  But Jack could get better.

What would be cool is for her to become super athletic.  You know, like Jack Bauer.

Hmm, maybe you could try reverse psychology and treat everyone like shit? That's the surest way to get a boy/girlfriend!

I thought we were going to turn her into a land whale.

I like seeing Jack horribly fail at love.
