New successionfort?
« on: January 06, 2012, 02:43:25 pm »

Greetings fellow dwarves :P, i'm quite new to the forums but i've played alot of df (about 100 forts or so) and i recently decided that i wanted to play a successionfort. Looking through the succesion games that are present at the moment I realised that most of them have been going on for quite a while and that i'd prefer to start from the beggining. So I ask you my dwarven brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law etc.- Anyone interested in organizing it? Since I don't belive I'm quite capable of such a feat :-[.

I can see where you're coming from. There are several that have just started, but most are heavily modded or focused on satire.  Looking through for a new vanilla succession, I found these two (which were both updated in the last week):

http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=98205.0 - Righteous Sword

http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=98039.0 - Harvest Dwarf

The first sounds pretty vanilla and was started about a week and a half ago and shouldn't be too hard to jump into right now.  The second has a couple of interesting twists and was started a bit earlier.  I have good hopes for this one, if you want to jump in.

If you garner enough interest off this post I would be interested in starting one up (I've got some stats on a succession world saved for hosting a new game), but the way things stand I think your best bet would be to join in one that has just begun.

Rhymehammers has also just started, and we need more players.

It have both flux and iron to make steel, a volcano, a green glass industry and a 6 level house above the magma.

So now all we've got to do is to put a couple of grannies into the LHC and smash them against each other at relativistic speeds. Lather, rinse, repeat until we got results.

I can't personally get behind the "all elves and children must be pitted" rule.
