It's been at 30/30 in the manager forever. Two craftsdwarf's workshops, one cluttered, one uncluttered, are full of "Make rock Pot" orders. I have a bunch of stonecrafters assigned and several with every crafting labour enabled. And plenty of Masons for that matter so, what is going on

I have never had issues setting rock pot on (r)epeat and just leaving them. Masons won;t do it, stonecrafters will. Perhaps they are already occupied with hauling or other jobs?

Whatever it was I made two new craftsdwarf's workshops and it's finally started

Are the workshops made with an item that has been forbidden?  That happens to me all the time.

Can they access the workshop? Workshops have unmovable squares, I remember accidentally walling in a Dwarf with a bowyers workshop.

yeah, the sqaures of workshops that block pathing get even more "fun" when the workshop has 4-5 of them.

I usually never bother about that. I only notice if a dwarf dies, and then it's not trapping anybody, so who cares?

Well you can't use it to produce anything if dwarves can't reach it...

I wonder if I should feel bad that I thought the title read "No-one will make pet rocks"

Yeah; he stated that the jobs are being assigned in the shops, which means the manager is alive and doing their job.
