Lexx checked over Annita's body, and grabbed what she found. She then trod carefully across the lobby, mindful of more traps, to the nearest pot plant. Borrowing a knife from someone, she quickly cut herself a wooden pole with which to beat away any more electricity traps. Once done, she returned the knife and scanned the room again, looking for more doors, or some sort of universal electrical through box ((A fuse box for example, but I assume Lexx wouldn't know about those)). If she could shut off the power, then that would make this place a lot safer. For her at least.

Gail lent Lexx  one of the serrated knives and began to look for the stairs up, if she found them she went up, watchful for traps.

>Continue with the plan. Find any openings in my vicinity to the outside.

Ferrel felt his heart beating. Other tributes were near, but he wasn't sure if they were careers or not. Signalling his position would be stupid.

He checked his area and his pack, one tribute down already.

Somehow, he had to do something.

Stairwells...maybe, the elevator was barred anyway but it seemed the safest way out, unless the power was cut off.

But...the power...if it was cut off.

Great.

Somewhat assured by the  lack of traps in the immediate area, he quietly stands watch in one of the rooms, helping any of the others if asked.

>Continue wandering.

He kept wandering. He was slowly becoming tired. He entered the forest.

((Wandering doesn't help me write up a nice long paragraph :/))

Lexx checked over Annita's body, and grabbed what she found. She then trod carefully across the lobby, mindful of more traps, to the nearest pot plant. Borrowing a knife from someone, she quickly cut herself a wooden pole with which to beat away any more electricity traps. Once done, she returned the knife and scanned the room again, looking for more doors, or some sort of universal electrical through box ((A fuse box for example, but I assume Lexx wouldn't know about those)). If she could shut off the power, then that would make this place a lot safer. For her at least.

Lexx uprooted a potted plant. She then accepted Gail's knife and cut away the branches and roots to make a wooden pole. She then returned the knife and scans the room. She spotted a small metal box on a wall slightly obscured by a potted money tree. Opening the box, she saw many black levels with tiny white numbers inlayed in them, of all sizes.

Choice: Lower "Large black lever", "Small black lever with white stripe", "Small black lever with number 125", or break "Green glass object".

Gail, after getting the knife back, slowly crept up the stairs. Suddenly, her body was caught on a thin fiber. She instinctively jumped backwards, down the stairs. She avoided damage by rolling (Nice dice roll, by the way :P). A slab of thin metal came crashing down edge first. If she had hesitated, it would have ensured the liberty of her head from the rest of her body.

Ferrel glanced in the mirror he set up - nothing. Ferrel smashed a hole in the wall, and luckily found some wire. He ripped it out. He rechecked the elevator trap, and with a bout of inspiration, made a slight change to it that made it more lethal. He then crept down the emergency shaft and slipped into the night. It was the opposite side from the other tributes. He then exited. He then entered a nearby building that also had had the bright light. He opened the door carefully, but nothing fell/shocked/tried to kill/otherwise inconvenience him. The omnipresent darkness of the lobby barely revealed the trails of someone desperate. He saw no one.

Cole stood still in the empty lobby.

Sohac stood guard at the exit, waiting for the possible escape attempt. Nothing happened.

Keena went to sleep, peacefully in the tree.

Wikus is sound asleep.

Nabisco exited his private, trapped sanctuary and glided along the streets. He did not make a sound, perhaps due to the craftmanship of his boots, and reached the Cornucopia. There was still many supplies left. What does Nabisco pick up?

<A deep rumble is heard from the end of the street the Career pack is in. Unfortunately, none of the Careers heard (bad Sense rolls!). Nabisco faintly hears it. Ferrel heard it. Wikus is wakened from his sleep by the sound. Griph, Keena and all the others in the forest do not hear it.>

Time: 10:20 PM

Actions : Careers should take bold action to clear out the building so the other players can act. :P

Nabisco chuckled to himself and looked around to make sure that nobody was present, ready to bolt if need be. He then began to take small bits of food from where it would not be noticed if it was missing.  He then scanned the weapons, thankful that nobody had bothered to take stock of anything yet.  He took two or three daggers that were in better quality than his current one, a few belts or bandoliers to store them on and any essential survival gear he could find, such as matches, water bottles, survival clothing, or compass.  He also grabbed a length of wire and a small spool of string. Then the rumble came, and he decided that it was best to head back to his stronghold as quickly as possible.

Ferrel looked towards the source of the sound. He silently thanked his inner vigil and returned staring at the building.

Then nervousness came over him.

He wondered...if the careers were searching. But, maybe not, as the death rate was so low.

Nevertheless, he had to get something better.

He had to find...something in here.

...What was that noise?!

Gail giggles at the hiders stupidty, did they really think a trap as easy as that would get her? As much as she wanted to humilate the trapper further personal salvation was on here mind. She begins to fake cry and runs over to Sheen. Pressing her breasts agianst his chest she looked up at him with big, girly eyes and siad in her very est I-am-a-very-cute-girl-who-has-been-scared-and-needs-help and said "Mister can you please help me? Your so big and strong and theall these traps are scaring me. Pleasses will you help me, I would be your friend forever?"

Screw choices, Lexx thought. She smashed the green thing with her stick, then pulled all the levers down. She then checked for any unexplored doors in the lobby, before grabbing Sheen and Gail.

"Stop hugging you two, now ain't the time." She halued the pair of them to the foot of the stairs and called the rest of the gang to follow them. She then proceeded up said stairs, cautiously and with her trap detector stick at the ready, intending to use it to set off any traps before she reached them.

Griph looked around for something to do. He could see ... trees. Maybe he should start a fire, he thought. Griph did not have any fire starters, nor did he have prior experience in such, so he didn't do it. He then climbed into a tree, on the stalk-out for animals.

He saw none.

Nabisco picked up a pair of serrated hunting knifes. They were finely decorated, with an engraved leather hilt and swirling patterns on the blades. He picked up a vest, a fire-starter, a waterskin that sloshed with water, a roll of metal filament and a roll of twine. He then started heading back towards his building.

Ferrel could not see what the noise was about. He ran to the Cornucopia, and nearly bumped into Nabisco, who was just getting up after looting his share.

What to do? (both)

Gail attempted to seduce Sheen, but was interrupted by Lexx. She forcefully pulled them apart - too bad, Gail thought, because she could sense he was about to cave - and ordered them up the stairs.

Follow orders? Or resist?

Lexx smashed in the green window. Instantly, the elevator lights went out - it seemed it was something called a "master fuse'. She didn't bother lowering the other levers. She then separated Sheen and Gail, then ordered them up the stairs, with herself at point. The other members of the pack followed. Lexx could not see any traps. She triggered a line with her stick. A bucket of cold liquid splashed onto her.

(Failed spot check and reaction check :-0)

Wikus started packing his items as quick as he could. He then dashed down the stairs - screw elevators - and entered the lobby. Just in time to see the source of the sound.

A huge machine with four monstrous tires was making its way down the street Wikus's building was on. He could see similar machines heading down the other streets. There were no machines on the 'vertical' streets, if Wikus assumed the machined streets as 'horizontal'. The machine was painted yellow, had some sort of wicked-looking appendage on the front, and had dazzlingly bright headlights. It also had a scanning laser on both sides. The machine was using the lasers to peer into the lobbies. Wikus threw his body behind the reception desk, but was too late. A laser caught the most fleeting glimpse of his boot. With a metallic sound of links disengaging, smaller machines detached themselves from the appendage of the machine and started hitting the lobby windows.

Ferrel fails to hear the machines. (he did hear the first sound)
Gail fails to hear the machines.
Lexx hears some sort of deep rumbling.
Sheen fails to hear.
Nabisco does not hear the machines. (also heard the first time)
Griph fails to hear the machines.
Dante fails to hear the machines.

A cannon is heard, announcing the death of another tribute.

((What is up with the Career pack's Listening checks? :-0))

Time: 10:23 PM

Wikus must react quickly.
