"I mean, is this a parody or something?

"You know, that'd kinda make sense, really. Actually being involved in the great events seems to go against everything else I've done. Is this supposed to be some reflection on my utter willingness to give into my blood lust with only token justification? Or some kind of justification that the Oceania style dystopia, even if existing, really wouldn't even work well enough to have a proper bloodsport?"

"This could even be my own little purgatory. I mean, the promise of the great issues of the day without them actually coming to fruition? Totally acceptable, and my monologing is perfect from the perspective of my name sake, maybe if I assume that I repressed hell already? But, I really don't see myself ending up in purgatory, I mean, I'm a horrible person who should be condemned to hell, because I'm a horrible person who can't justify a tri-omni God with human suffering, and fully expects him to be an enemy. Of course, my plan was to shoot the devil in the face when I got down there, so maybe this is where I'm being confined not to do any damage to the balance of the cosmos?"

"What am I supposed to do in the short term, then?"

Dante wandered about, rambling and picking up whatever caught his eye, still somewhat keyed up, aware, and ready to stab someone in the face.

"I'll just take a chunk, I need somewhere to rest for now ..." Dylan said, and trailed off as he ripped a chunk from the vine, and began snooping around his immediate area for a tree he could climb up in.

Find a tree I can climb up in, and then search for a nice nook where I can lay sticks across, and form a bed of sorts.

((Bed Plan - Use a sturdy fork in branches that can hold my entire weight, and much more. Then begin laying branches along its length, making sure they are much longer then the fork of the branch. After that find some vines, and tie some sturdy branches on the sides of the stick bed to the branches above with some vines. Finally cover the bed in soft leaf covered branches to make it more comfortable.))

Hmm, maybe...these could be put to better use. It's nearly night now.

Ferrel checks the elevator room, and makes it look inconspicuous of any human presence. Set up a falling-glass trap by the elevator doors, if it opens then the glass falls and the alarm is set.

Scavenge material from most of the bed frames and glass from the mirrors. Make a reflecting device from it all.

Try the sink for potable water and Open Pack, checking what is inside.

Bar one of the rooms with a bedframe just in case, use said room as sleeping quarters later on.

And, check those lamps for any electrical devices: lightbulbs, batteries...If they are portable and such.

Sohac looked for more water holding items. Then after aquiring them he went to the fountains and them.

Tiberius does the same as Sohac, remembering to drop in an iodine tablet in his and Sohacs water.

He and Sohac then go on patrol hoping that they find someone to kill

Cole checks if the NV Goggles work when the night falls, and stays close to whatever sources of light there are after night falls.

Lexx handed her bottle to Sohac to fill up, and returned just in time to hear Dante's spiel.

"I, what?" she was stumped for a second, before rallying, "Maybe you are in some form of purgatory, but this is one you can get out of. And hey, if you manage that you'll definitely have the chance to shoot the devil in the face. Here, he's called President Snow."

Lexx then sticks on her NV glasses, and snacks on an apple as she patrols the park. She made sure to keep stealthy, as although she had the advantage it was likely that at least a few other tributes had NV of their own. She left her pack at the cornucopia, but kept the trident and rope net.

Hehehe...now its time for the SURPRISE!

Griph entered the building and starting to comb the place for metal discs. There were none, even though he searched the whole building. He decided to sleep in a random room in a random floor.

Keena picked some nightlock and carefully placed it in the front pocket of the pack. She then opened her pack and saw an empty bottle, a sleeping bag, binoculars and night-vision glasses. It was quickly getting darker.

Nabisco is fast asleep.

Dante wandered around the park.

Dylan crafted an intricate bed with branches and vines. The bed snapped as soon as he tried to lay on it. [He rolled a 34] Sighing sadly, he just used the sleeping bag conveniently located in his bag and used unbroken branches and vines to lash him there.

Ferrel used some filament and glass to make a shattering sound happen when the first floor's elevator doors open. He also rigged it so that the manual override caused all elevators to grind to a halt when they moved up. In his pack was a 2.5 liter bottle, iodine tablets, a switchknife and binoculars. He then gutted the lamps and got 5 lightbulbs. Ferrel got tap water from a sink and purified it with iodine. Also, using part of a bed and a glass shard, he made a reflecting device. Finally, he pushed a bed against the door.

Gail picked a fire starting kit, a firebrick activated by zipcord, and a flashlight.

Sohac picked up waterskins and a bottle. He filled them up with the cold fountain water.

Tiberius and Sohac started to look for tributes in the quickly darkening city.

Cole put the darkvision glasses on. He marveled at the clarity. He then stayed next to a wanly lit fountain.

Wikus exited the building and started looking around for any people who might be wandering about. He saw no one yet.

Lexx's water bottle was filled. She started proweling around the park, munching on a apple.

At roughly nine-o-clock, the blaring sound of the Capitol anthem woke everyone asleep. The seal appeared, impractically large, and disappeared after the anthem ended. There were no deaths today.

A minute later, Nabisco and Ferrel's buildings, along with three more, lit up in a blindingly white light. The whole building's lights were cranked up to maximum, and stayed that way for one minute before switching off again.

Tiberius, Lexx and Sohac started running.

I am very glad I'm not in there, Lexx thought, as she dashed towards the illuminated buildings. Staying close to the park, she examined them, curious. She waited to see if anything interesting happened, or if people left or entered. If she saw people, she'd follow the same plans as earlier, being wary of more sudden light.

Gail's face lit up light a light bulb. She followed Lexx, slight giggles escaping her mouth as she pulled out 2 serrated knives.

"What in the-... That was really weird.

"A...power surge maybe? No, that would be too practical. Something's going on, and I don't like it. Blood will be shed soon..." Ferrel mumbled to himself, looking around at the current area for anything different.

"Wait...the light, did that mean, the elevator was fried? Or...something worse."

Check my surrounding vicinity for anything currently dangerous, find an alternative route out. Check the lower areas using binoculars.

"Did it have anything to do with that strange wall earlier?"

Check that Glass/Steel wall. If everything seems safe, get some sleep and plan an escape.
