Lexx rose up into the arena, clutching her single keepsake from district 5. A wood carving of an angel, hanging from a leather loop. On seeing the park, she was taken aback. Were they meant to fight in the capital? No, it's too new, too clean. She quickly put the necklace on, tucking it under her top.

She quickly scanned the other tributes, looking for Sohac, Cole, Tiberius, Dante and Gail. On spotting them, she made up her mind. First, grab that pack, then get a spear. If that meant going into the blasted cornucopia then so be it. Once she had that, she'd get some food and regroup with the others.

Dylan clutched his hand together, he wasn't built, and a fight, and he knew he stood no chance in getting anywhere near the Cornucopia. His only chance was to grab what was nearest him, and get the heck out of there before anyone had a chance to hurt him. With that in mind he quickly grabbed the nearest objects, and began sprinting away from the Cornucopia heading for the buildings, and streets that encompassed the park. He had no chance in a straight fight at this point, so he ran.

Grab the closest items, and run for the alleys, and buildings closest to me. Then from ther head out into the forest

Dante briefly wondered about what he'd been told. Scores? Judgement? He was in first, which seemed to say that high scores weren't the goal, but he'd get it a few dozen higher, sure as sure. Bit of a shame that he couldn't kick anything off in training, but the audience would be better here, right? How *were* they being monitored, anyway?

No melodramatic dead-bolt collars or anything like he expected. Memory of a barely remembered story came up in his head. Four dead people from the past, brought to the future to be killed by four soldiers and a dissident. They'd all died, but the dissident had shouted to the watching crowds, hadn't he? Seemed to be a good enough pattern to follow, but heck if he recalled much.

The countdown thingie stopped, and he stepped out. Time for the fun to begin.

>Bolt for a weapon. Spear or blade if possible. Secure the weapon, and act the part of the gladiator and roar to the non-evident crowds.

"Come one, come all! What were you fuckers called? Cretin? Carrier? Career, wasn't it? Cowards is more like. What kind of fucking rats goes along with a system like this? Fucking ridiculous. Better to fight evil, rather than let evil send you to pointless deaths, right?"

"SO, which one of you motherfuckers wants a little bit of me? I've got a government to bring down, so be nice and step up now! Of course, just remember that your buddy doesn't care about anything except killing everyone else. Including you. Now, if I were a fucker like you, I'd consider planting a blade in your back when I could . . . "

"Not that it matter, cuz I'm to your front!"

Nabisco, waited in running position at the edge of his platform, briefly wondering what the twenty-fifth one was for.  He shook his head and. Glanced at his mother's ring,  he would win this.  The moment the countdown stopped he dashed off.

Tiberius Thorne using his great speed runs straight towards the centre of the weapons. He grabs a spear and a shield and he and the others he has allied with begin to kill anyone who gets within their reach.

Cole just sprints towards the scattered equipment, instead vying for some survival tools or camouflage clothing.

Of course, a pickaxe or claw hammer wouldn't hurt either...

Ferrel knew he wasn't a fighting man, skilled though in technology and observation he was. With his meager training, he had little doubt that he could be making his own weapons and maybe even armor from scraps around him.

He waited for the timer to countdown, in that time he thought about what he would do next and inspected the area for any signs of traps or escape routes, hideaways and terrain advantages. He did not want to die this early, but he also regretted not talking with the other tributes, no matter who or where they came from. They did not know who he was, but he did not prefer it that way. It would be nice to at least know them...well, before anyone died that is.

Also, he wondered if they were monitoring their every move. He looked at the others around him, they were as tense as he, and decided his fate.

(Quickly dash to one of the packs and then find any weapon suitable for survival, preferring a spear or bow and a knife, and clothing. Also, find some shards of glass or wooden planks/misc. items then head out into the city, not minding the Cornucopia while being aware of any attackers. After the countdown.)

Gail rushed out and grabbed the pack before continuing on towards the ceneter. She grabbed anything of use  that she could carry but espically looked for knives. If it got way to dangerous she would grab the closet weapon and run off/attack any attackers.

Sohac waited for the countdown to end knowing that if he did not fight his best he would be killed. He had made a vow to his family not to get killed. He would not break it. He held onto the leather string that was on his neck. It had been given to him when he was six by his older brother. That and a piece of advice "Solve not with brute strength but with intelligence and logic." He would not die for his family's sake.

>Run towards the center, grab a spear, grab a shield(if there is none grab the top of a crate) then fight it out in the center with his group.

Wikus quickly assesed the situation. He saw Sohac eyeing the spears. 'Hell no. That spear's mine,' he muttered, and prepared to sprint towards the spears. He then considered looking for sacks. 'I'm going to need to find something to shove my stuff in,' he muttered.

>Fight for the spears, get a sack, then run as far away as I possibly can.

(image placeholder)

As soon as the gong rang, Dylan, Nabisco, Keena, Ferrel, and Griph dashed out and collected some items before running.

As Ferrel ran out to the streets, he luckily found a hand-sized rolled of metal filament. He also picked up scrap metal, but dared not to go to the Cornucopia to get a blade. He then turned and ran.

Dante ran for the Cornucopia. He picked up a spear and a short sword, and turned to face the other tributes.

Tiberius also chose a spear and a improvised crate-lid shield. He turned around to get ready for defending.

Cole first slung a pack, a neatly folded stack of clear plastic, and a small box that fit into the pack before dashing to the Cornucopia. She chose a spiked mace, hefting it once and assumed an attack stance.

Gail ran and scooped up a pack and some items. He then tried to get a dagger, but the Careers around the Cornucopia made Gail hesitate. He shot in, grasped a dagger and stood there. ((Good roll o_o))

Sohac also attempted to get a spear. Wikus came over a moment later and tried to wrestle it out of Sohac's hands. Wikus grappled the spear from Sohac and bashed him, before running away from the park. Sohac picked up another spear, meant for throwing, and ripped a lid off a crate to serve as a makeshift shield.

Griph dared to get a few meters from the Cornucopia, and got a pack with digital camouflage patterns. He slammed into someone coming his way, District 3 Blip, he recalled, and took to the alleys.

((All packs have something in them))
Spoiler: Items gained (click to show/hide)

At the Cornucopia, D1F Sheena and D2F Annita approached the other tributes. They threw dirt into the alliance and got by them to get a sword each. They got ready to fight...\

The other tributes, from D6, D7, D8, D9, and D10 milled around the outskirts. Some just took off, while a number of others ran into the Cornucopia in hopes of getting a weapon.

<Situation : The 6 allies are to fight. The other six are to decide where to go and what to do>
<Everyone who ran is about half-way to the gates now>

Dante watches the others carefully, not much organization, it seems, but no single hot-head felts like charging after him like he expected. If whatever the government's name was was a proper nation state, then one would imagine that he'd tick some loyal soul off enough to break their cool. Another little failure of his knowledge.

Still, he needed to make a red splash, right now. Establish himself as the biggest threat amongst his own little alliance. Best take at least one person down, then dash off after the rest of his little group. He could take care of himself until he found them, it seemed really weird all the big deal about surviving here. Even a groomed park looking place was easy enough for someone to live in . . .

"No one? No one at all? Come one, lone loudmouth here! Step right up you fuckers. I can't water the tree with patriot's blood, cuz I guess that none of you care enough for the title!"

He shifted the spear in his right hand, holding his blade with his off hand. Act the part of the hopalite, strike with the spear and keep the blade if they get close to keep them away. He didn't look nearly as tough as he really was, and he was crazy, of course. No matter how much they had trained or killed, their bloodlust didn't equal his.

And he had the side of right, right?
