Castle Story has always struck me as a SP sandbox, first and foremost. Most creative building games are.

Hmm, it might be because those flying islands seemed to me like a multiplayer designed element. i dont get the second remark. so? who cares what most are?

I feel like DF kind of makes my point for me. Terraria makes the opposite argument. But then again, I think Terraria is better played solo as well.

But generally in a game focused on creative building, you want the time, space and peace to do what you want.

I want the game to be a solid game, or at least an interesting sandbox. If MP gets it to that point or makes it better, thats also cool.

I'm sort of blown away at the amount of attention this has got. It reminds me a lot of how Terraria exploded on to the scene. Maybe it's the same crowd of folks who have become aware of it. (Other than us, of course.)

For a second there I read 25% and thought you were insane enough to drop $20k. Good thing I reread. I've also pledged, been following the game since the first youtube video. Never expected their target to be hit quite this fast though, good for them! Think of all the stretch goals they'll reach.

If multiplayer can't be possibly made, I'd like a way to save progress made by yourself at any point in time, turn your empire into a AI one, give it some rough options(be aggressive / friendly / exploratory / expand, and such), and start as the "2nd player" from the point in time where you have turned the empire to AI.

Also burningpet, in case you're reading this, and the map for towns will expand in the future, this is also a suggestion leaned towards you.
