So I love the new random abilities second wave option, got this one assault with bullet swarm, spray n pray, and up close and personal. The guy can shoot 4 times in a single turn!

Can we get a screenshot of this glorious soldier?

That moment when you suddenly realize that you forgot to assign any research projects after had immediately researched meld at the start of the game...

79 aim? Pfff! I had a swedish sniper with over 100 aim.

She was turned into a chryssalid egg depository  :'(

Gah, that logic!

Why not this end? There's a yard just out the door and nothing except a fence! We could use a rocket launcher to blast the fence away and make the pickup here instead of the other side of the alien-infested facility.

Deep Pockets was changed. It now gives 1 extra use to all limited-use items. It even says so ingame.

So I'll ask before I get the expansion. Have they fixed the most annoying bugs that caused me to rage quit my classic ironman run on the vanilla version and just do a normal difficulty one? That is for example the numerous mind-boggling line of sight bugs, the camera getting stuck on top of UFOs, morale damage from the death of mind controlled aliens (counting as part of your squad for some dumb reason).

I liked the original quite a bit but the amount of bugs that I ran into were a bit too much to fully enjoy it and before I give them more money I want confirmation that they have fixed the product.

Line of sight bugs are just as bad or even worse, I've had a time where a thinman was able to shoot through several walls and closed doors. The best part was my troops couldn't see him. >.>



And Jesus Christ, base defense is bullshit. Hey do you want your col., fully auged, psionic, super assault? How bout your col. sniper or either of your two mech troops? Too bad, you get a few squaddies and a bunch of less-then-rookies vs an endless horde of tough aliens in the single battle that decides the fate of the universe!

Sure I can restart infinitely, but with this fucking team not sure if I can win without reducing difficulty >.> .

The whole point of the base defense mission is that you were caught unprepared... when I did it, it was super intense because I had just unequipped everyone to redistribute items so I had EVERYONE in no armor and with basic weapons.

I still won, but it was a really really tense fight.

I had just returned from a mission with no damage sustained with my elite 6. It was quite easy, all in all.

The council mission is pretty hard with two squaddies and two rookies. I've been getting Code blacks non-stop on that one mission and I still don't want to stop savescumming because I want to know how it plays out in the end. The fact Thin Men keeps murderizing the rookies in hard cover isn't really helping because everyone's aim is bad (read: Miss most shots)

So won the base defense on my second try, but lost 4 and only won due to a glitch. Things were looking pretty good at the beginning, cleared out the command center without much problem and set up on a nice position overlooking the mech bay. But a berserker and two mechtoids from the 3rd from last and semifinal wave respectively didnt want to advance, so when the final wave came I was facing 3 mechtoids and 3 berserkers, a sectoid commander, and a cyberdisk. Took out a couple of them but they killed everyone except my heavy and sniper placed on the high ground. For some reason, the aliens pathing just kinda stopped working then, they all just started walking around randomly below my two survivors, and got slowly picked off.

Just completed the EXALT Base assault mission. Here's a hint: bring along a MEC designed for destruction of property.
