It might be a while, but that's only because Marathon makes the game long. I'm sure someone will do it by this time next week.

Following that would then have to be finishing it on ironman impossible + all second wave, with all 16 nations intact. Although I'm not entirely sure that with diminishing returns active that it will actually be possible to save them all.

If Not Created Equally actually seems kindof positive, provided you have money to spend recruiting people.

You'd need a lot of luck to do II with all 16 options, simply because so many of them prevent you from building satellites (which are generally regarded as vital in II) in a timely fashion.  It seems pretty likely you could beat every mission easily, have perfect strategy and still lose on the geoscape most times.

New Economy might help or hurt on the geoscape, but we'll have to see how varied it causes funding to be.

Is it bad that I didn't realize that this wasn't already the case in the base game?

Honestly I didn't know you didn't have to interrogate a psychic alien either.

Commanders arn't really all that tough to capture.

It's because they're generally all alone in a fairly small room which you can take your time breaching.  At least the first one is, I guess with subsequent ones you need to splash the other guy.

and they tend to have a weak weapon that you can tank if you had to.

If you kill the commander of a ship first? does every alien on the map assault your position? I came in on the side of a transport and took out the bridge first and then I got swarmed by sectopods, berserkers, muton elites, floater elites and disks just charging me all at once.

I don't care cause I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me...

I turned myself into a monster, to fight against the monsters of the world.

They've generally tried to mind control my guys, which doesn't help much when they're close enough to be gunned down within a turn anyway.

That makes me imagine an outsider being killed, and then suddenly Zerg/Sectopodrush!

Red Fog is....horrifying. A solider with two health remaining has a 1% chance to hit most of the time.

Does this apply for aliens too, or only for your own troops?

If it also applies for aliens, it would be kind of of awesome-bonus.

There's no way to tell, but I don't think so.

Damn cheating aliens...

I'll have to give this a try.  I guess I should finish my classic run... I'm just so bored of these stupid UFOs... 20 turns in a row of slowly moving up, followed by 3 or 4 turns of fun and hectic combat... I don't know what they could do about that, but I always found the street maps much more fun than the UFO/Swamp maps.

So just go and beat the game already? :P

Do you have ghost armor? If you have ghost armor and a psi-guy, there's not really any excuse for dragging your feet.
