I missed that part <_<;

But if Firaxis released an expansion, wouldn't we just have hordes of people complaining about DLC?

Who cares about those people?

The problem with DLC isn't its existance. It is when they intentionally hold back DLC, put it up for rip off prices, or fix something that shouldn't be broke.

I'm sure a, say, Terror from the Deep Campaign expansion wouldn't be bitched at. At least not for your standard reasoning.

I have 99 people in the barracks, the only thing I have left to do is capture the leader alien and the final mission. My entire squad of people, even my sniper rarely use their guns to kill aliens due to having late game methods to do so. All my interceptors are fully upgraded, my main squad are mainly max rank and I have sats over every country. Every country has the lowest panic.

I want to finish my classic iron man run tonight, but i'm so drunk i'm afraid i'll mess it up. That's XCOM.

Funny you should mention DLC...

Note that no pricing has been mentioned as of yet, so I'd recommend keeping the pitchforks close by, but not picking them up quite yet.

Well then the measure of whether or not the DLC is worth it is now on Price and True value.

I'm not sure that's DLC, there's a decent chance those achievements are for missions that were dummied out, or that at some point the council missions had specific names and then they switched to procedural op names and changed the achievements.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Heck they could have even been Multiplayer achievements.

By the by the two modes I want to see added to the game is
A) Co-op Singleplayer
and
B) Drop in Singleplayer (where someone can drop in as the aliens trying to kill you)

Oddly enough the missions I have the least problem with are VIP escort and so far Bomb Defusal.

Yeah only thin man in these mission even if you are just about to hit the last stage of the game... Thin man really? Also the only thing i hate about thin man is the +10aim bonus from the light plasma rifle.... thats why they are dangerous, base accuracy increase in higher diff, and the aim accuracy from light plasma rifle make them very accurate....

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

For me it isn't even that. The ONLY thing that makes them dangerous in these missions are their poison spit. Even their "Teleport" is weakened by the fact that I have long since learned to take them down the turn they appear.

Mind you I consider Thinmen more dangerous then ordinary Floaters.

I still dislike how they don't explain a few things about Thinmen. Such as their Jumps or why I can melt them down into medicine.

While the autopsy doesnt explain the *jump* ability it clearly explain the medicine part, we all know using poison we can make cure, well the autopsy reveal that

A large portion of the specimen's thoracic cavity is devoted to enormous glands capable of producing a toxin that is then expelled via ducts with considerable force. After a thorough chemical analysis of the subject's venom, we've theorized that it could be used as a powerful disinfectant to treat our soldiers injuries in the field. Dr. Shen is working to develop a means to integrate this into our existing Medikits for future deployment. Targeting another example of this specimen in the field using the Unit Analysis view may reveal further details about its distinctive combat abilities.

Also while not sure i THINK there is a reference to the V series where *visitor* has human appearance but is reptile under a *fake* skin. Now i wonder if they have that V mark behind earlobe...

For jumping my assumption is that they actually are very light for their size. Giving them, in essence, a harmless terminal velocity.

When they "Teleport" they are actually jumping off an overhead UFO.

I hope the DLC adds in the rest of the terror units, I miss reapers and cetalids. Although I hope they also try and think of some original ideas.

From the autopsy desc, it says thinmen have multijointed limbs much akin to very flexible spines (or snakes), what gives them a massive flexibility and can move their bodies as coils. For them jumping randomly in missions, i'd imagine they are good crawlers and hide in the ceiling or other tall structures.

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

They don't have that ability any other time and they retain that ability even far away from tall structures.

I still go by my "Jump out a UFO" theory.
