Well, seems like I won't really be able to catch it, unless I have a short work day tomorrow (not likely) and finish before teh afternoon. Otherwise, I hope they upload it to Youtube for those who missed it.
Also after having watched the preview videos, I'm so excited for the eventual release, I'm probably going to start playing the classic game after I finish off Starcon2.
Heh, funny how I spent so much on the Steam Summer Sale, and I'm still devoting alot of time on these classics.
Not to mention all the fun that comes with making spreadsheets to simplify the games a little more. Starcon especially; in regards to certain things not normally visible in-game (like total mineral value, overall value of your ship, relative distance chart for Quasi-space and Hyper-space travel (maximizing fuel efficiency), and Melnorme Credits and how much you'll have after collecting BIO and Rainbow Worlds.
EDIT:
Come to think of it, why is making certain tools for games more fun than the games themselves? It's like having a big toy that comes in a large box, and spending more time playing with the box.
EDIT EDIT:
Uh oh, speaking of nostalgia, I might be doing similar stuff with other classics like Master of Orion (speed up research and construction efficiency) and XCOM (optimize military and track overall economy).
