I know, but I never actually saw the model, or at least payed enough attention to distinguish it.

Also, the Medkit is white with a red cross.

Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Oh wait, after some searching I found out the Medkit looked like it did because I had the Improved Medkit upgrade.

But still.

Medkit guns.

I'd like to see some footage of these "sniper pistols". Either way round, sniping with pistol or pistoling with rifle.

It generally happens when I spam overwatch. Sniper is last one to move. Switch to pistol. Mash y and tab or shift while switching.

Fuck yeah. The level of detail that went into the base made the lack of base missions even worse than it would have been.

There are also achievements that seem to confirm we'll be fighting humans, with the pictures showing guys with sunglasses and bandanas, and some sort of strangler alien covered in tentacles (looks sorta like a cross between a sectoid and a tentaculat).

Not surprised. That symbol in the trailer just screamed allium-sympathizing scum.

I predict meld influenced mutiny.

Supposedly meld has a altering effect beyond it's stated uses. It could corrupt a soldier, and seeing how it's responsible for the genetics AND mechs, both things following the concept of sacrificing humanity.

Well,

Lets just say I foresee 20 rookies vs 3 heavily armed XCOM soldiers in the future.

EDIT:
G'day
Kill an elite enemy Sniper with one of your own snipers in single player

Ahem. I always noted how the plasma sniper couldn't be obtained by capturing an alien and how utterly fucking terrifying that would be if the aliens had snipers.

Now.

Fuck.

Other notable achievements:

Apotheosis Denied
Deal with the newest global threat

They Shall Not Pass
Eliminate all alien waves

Remington… Max Remington
Have your special-duty soldier kill three enemies in the same mission

Regenerate This
Kill an elite enemy Medic with explosive damage in single player

Pain in the Neck
Cause an enemy to suicide

From what I can tell, there will be an opposing Human faction.

Maybe we'll get lucky and be able to use the annoying greenshirt wearing idiot and get him killed so we don't have to hear him ever again.

None of those indicate Meld mutinies, though. But Enemy suicides sound like other humans.

The fact that the Enemy Within achievement is obtained for giving a soldier 5 mods makes me think that may be the limit at which things happen.

But there are only five gene mod slots in the first place, so it's probably just for maxing them out.
