Putting my 2 cents in for 1st Squad.

Personally, I think we should enter from the north and, there should be a pair of guys in the building as forward look out, another one in the elephant grass and the rest spread in a line in the long grass, some hugging the building for hard cover and the rest hidden in the undergrowth as soft cover.

Of course, I'm not actually in this game so feel free to disregard me :)

Agreed. That would leave the forest and the crater as future issues. The forest can be taken out by fire, if needed, depending on the envirnment.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

If possible, could we get the waitlist added to the OP?

The base ruleset from which this and a ridiculous catalog of other games are derived has been released for free, and I've uploaded it here on Mediafire to save people the trouble of looking it up.

It doesn't contain any specifics on FNG or anything, but it has all the rules that FNG runs on so if you're looking to understand exactly how the game works it's a good place to look that doesn't cost anything.

Alright, time's just about up and I'm going to bed, so I'll be lenient.  I'll check the thread when I wake up and if the MIA players haven't responded we're replacing them.  We need to get this on the road tomorrow or it may as well be dead.

I'm back, I couldn't sleep.  Alright, so Powder Miner is here, and if Strife were here they could deploy their forces.  If Powder wants to do that without Strife, he can start on it.

I am here. How shall we conduct this particular assault? Personally, I'd like advancing via overwatch, getting one squad on each corner, let the enemy take the village, start suppressing from multiple angles, have you lift-shift fire while I feint a fire team, then I'll quickly withdraw, reset my bof, and you assault through once, set up in the opposite corner, then I'll assault through myself.

I understood all except advance via overwatch. Is that when you have a suppression team covering movement?

And by assault through, do you mean through the village itself? And if so, wouldn't that be rather painful?

Okay, so it looks like I've got 1st Squad, then(?). I'm looking over the map and working out how I want to deploy.

Ed: Will I be starting flat along my edge, or will I be able to deploy into the closest 1/4, 1/3, or whatever of the map?

Also, is the elevation on the hill enough that soldiers on it could fire over the surrounding trees?

I'm afraid I don't know what overwatch, lift-shift, or bof means.
