You should already have Archive Manager or something, then.

I personally use 7zip, and have had no issues with it.

Likewise. The .7z archive format is good as well; it compresses noticeably further than .zip or .rar.

FTFY :P

I do tend to use .7zip for when I need to compress something, and winrar for unzipping stuff. It's literally entirely because of how it does the right-click menu thing, though; if .7zip didn't have that extra bit to it, I'd use it exclusively.

Both 7Zip and Izarc are good programs. 7Zip compresses a bit better IIRC, but we're talking about a few percents difference. I have never compared their ergonomics so I can't be of further help.

WinRAR also seems to recognize .### files better than 7zip, I've seen.

7zip has the right-click menu as well...

I like 7zip overall, anyway. Never tried Izarc...

Yes, 7zip does, but the extract all, etc, is nested one in, unlike winrar that's in the immediate right click menu. That's all that's preventing me from using 7zip entirely; winrar saves me a half-second or so of mouse movement :P

WinRar. Just, WinRar. When the trial thing runs out, whenever you load WinRar up and you get the pop-up screen saying the trial's run out or whatever, click the "x" on the top-right of the little pop-up screen to close it, and you're good till you open WinRar up again and just gotta close the pop-up again.

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

WinRAR is pretty good~
If you download a copy from a number of specific sites that aren't the official website, then you can get it to not have that window telling you to buy it~

Alternatively, install cygwin, tar -xf file

Or we can promote the use of freeware over pirating stuff... Seriously, for almost everything you 'need' to pirate there is a freeware version.

Don't know why people even bother with photoshop.

7zip is probably the best tool out there for Windows. Their own format is pretty damn good too. If you're on Linux or OS X, just use "unzip".

Because GIMP is an unintuitive lump of crap.

I like Paint.NET.

Does not have built-in animated GIF support. D:

On topic, I just use winrar. I barely pack anything in rars and zip files, though.
