Weird lava flood effect
« on: September 07, 2006, 09:49:00 am »

I'm aware that if water reaches water, or lava reaches lava, it will create a perpetually flooded region, but I seem to have lava doing the same thing with water! Effectively, the lava seems to be coming from nowhere, and when it reaches the river, a massive wall of steam appears. The rest of my fort is now lava free, after a rather large disaster, and this is the only spot where the lava keeps on flowing.

And just as suddenly it disappears when I try to construct a bridge next to it (the bridge is only planned, too).

Yeah, this is one of the hyper space age flow problems that still exists.  You can get some very weird things right now.
