where is tholtig waysteel?

hey everyone to day i got on df to play a little on a new fort when i found this

it is a blood spatering of tholtig waysteel, so i went to the unit menue to figure out what happened, but....

he is not there!! even when i go look at the dead list he is not there and here is dwarf therapist as proof

I see him on the Therapist list. Tholtig Degdeler, in wave 1, 5th from the top. Deg is dwarven for "way" and deler is dwarven for "steel." Degdeler = Waysteel. He'd be visible on your units list, too, but he's probably dead.

I love that there are native-speaker level dwarf linguists on this forum

Deg Alnis D' Olon. That's as close as I can get to "Wayward Device": Deg (Way) Alnis(War) D' (nothing in the dwarven language, just there to make it fit) Olon (Gear, the closest I can get to "device". *curses the heavens*. I used to think it was mind shatteringly bad that there is no word for magma, but there should at least be mechanism or machine or something.) Minor bracketed rant aside, I am happy. I know my dwarf name.

I doubt that there are. I had to search through the dwarf translation file to find it, but since there were a limited number of "Tholtigs" ("barricade," BTW), it wasn't difficult.
