custom embark sites
« on: January 03, 2012, 05:06:06 pm »

this idea has been thrown around a little but I thought I would add to it.

I think i would be really cool to have custom embark sites, where player can just design an area and play in it.  this would be great for challenges and what have you (or at-least pre designed challenge areas so that its not as hard to get the one you want)

for me I would set up a flat wood land with a river but no aquifer, with plenty of iron, gold, marble and a magma pipe.

for my predators I would select probably alligators, hippos, or what ever my fancy is.

for my herbivores i would setup elephants.

I would have GCS

other settings

high number of mega beasts
lots of sieges

From the description of the event, I think that your copy of Dwarf Fortress was on drugs when this happened. That's surely the only logical explanation for a human werewolf with deadly farts dying from it's own excrement after slaughtering some goblins comrades.

Combination of both, from the sounds of it.

This sorta thing's somewhat possible to achieve with the Arena as it is, and the things they aren't yet possible will be possible eventually.

My voice acting portfolio.
Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.
