Check outside to find the shortest path from and exit of the warehouse to an area of the industrial park where a body could be stashed in such a way that it cannot be seen unless you're nearly on top of it. As usual, while doing so, do everything possible not to be seen.

But first, take a look around the roof. What is up here, exactly? Is there entrance into the warehouse proper - maybe a window that opens to a catwalk? Rope that can be set to allow easy access should we need it in the future?

Blow-By-Blow Sequence Activated!

Jessica checks her surroundings, but eventually concludes that the roof is simply a roof, and that she'll probably completely forget about it when she leaves. Ah well.

Also, try and get some food. Ignore the potato. Potatoes grow underground. The underground is for worms, and we are no worm. We will not eat worm food. Take it along, though. None of our friends are here, and it already has eyes - with a little work, she can quickly become one of our friends.

With her new found friend in hand, Jessica goes off in search of food, money and/or thoughts. During her wanderings through the streets and alleyways of the city, Jessica senses a rather interesting thought flowing through the ether. She follows it to a well-bred gentleman wearing a tuxedo and 37.85 litre hat. He's also slumped down in an alleyway, and a bullet-hole the size of a chipmunk in his chest. His eyes focus slightly at Jessica's approach.

"Hello there missy. Would you mind doing a favour for this here gentleman?"

Check outside to find the shortest path from and exit of the warehouse to an area of the industrial park where a body could be stashed in such a way that it cannot be seen unless you're nearly on top of it. As usual, while doing so, do everything possible not to be seen.

You quickly drag the body from the warehouse into the industrial park, leaving it behind a convenient bush, after making sure that it wasn't already occupied, of course. With the body disposed of and reasonably assured that you weren't seen, you head back to your base of operations.

"You have a nice hat and a hole and your brain is moving pretty. So sure! What do you need?" Smile happily and squat down by his side.

Jessie likes this man, and tries to push that emotion, that liking, that naive trust, out into the minds of those nearby, reflexively.

Meanwhile, assuming he has any pain-derived thoughts from the hole, be prepared to grit teeth and worth through them while we hear him out. Use mind reading ability to speed things up if possible or needed. Don't interrupt, let him go at his own pace, but just keep an eye on where the stories going to finish if he bleeds out in the process.

"If I had the strength I'd tip my hat to you ma'am. You see, I was here on a secret mission to contact a bunch of Hawaiian industrialists about a super weapon they were developing. However a bunch of Unionist goons got wind of my plans, and the cowards jumped me in this alley. They left me for dead til you came along."

He reaches into his tuxedo and pulls out a rather bloody letter.

"Now look here. This here is the details about the super weapon, the 'EX-04'. Don't open it. Take it to the Green American Embassy on 32nd Embassy Street. Say that, that Richard H. Anderson sent you. Give them this letter. It they refuse a belle like you, then I'm afraid that you'll have to finish the deal for me. Do you understand?"

Jessica nods. Anderson smiles weakly.

"My sincerest thanks on you. Now go, ma'am. Go, and remember the Yellowstone."

Anderson's eyes stare off into the distance as the last of his lifeblood streams out of him. Jessica spends several seconds poking him to make sure that he's dead, before heading off on her quest. After all, she has a job, nay, a sacred duty to the dying man, to ensure that his dying wishes are carr- Oh, parasite.

Distracted by the parasite, Jessica blunders into three never-do-wells, each of them wearing trench-coats and fedoras. Their coats bulge in a couple places, and not in a nice way either. However, influenced by the waves of trust coming off of Jessica, they talk to her instead of, say, blowing her into a bunch of little pieces.

"Hello there little girl. Me and my friends here couldn't help but overhearing your conversation. How about you give the letter to us and we'll deliver it for you? After all, we wouldn't want a sweet innocent woman like you messing around with super weapons, now would we?"

Give me emotional and thought reads so I can figure out the best way to respond. If they seem like these "Unionists" let them know, smile and narrow my eyes, and let them know in no small manner that "a bunch of Industrialist pigs like you aren't gonna get your hands on this no time nohow." Use this accusation to put them on the defensive - obviously they'll claim their own union loyalties, and I can reflect that confidence onto myself and back to them. Put it in the forefront of their thoughts, and with that little bit of priming, it shouldn't be too hard to tweak and strengthen. Try to look scrappy but not terribly tough - I'm not going to intimidate them away, but I want to look while I'm trying while causing them to underestimate me.

If they're Industrialists, hold up - just let me know, it'll need a different strategy.

I probably can't get enough emotional reflection off three of them to accomplish much of anything right now... ergghhh... their pushing on my brain. Luckily, part of what's pushing on my brain is desire for the letter, so I'm not exactly going to hand it to them. If they want it real bad, I CAN'T hand it to them - strong desires do that to me. If they try to initiate violence, at least, I'll have a lot more to work with, so we'll see what will happen next.

So mostly at this point it's taking stock of the situation. Also - is there anyone else around nearby? Anyone else interested? Anyone with intent to kill? Thieves? Robbers? Anyone I can /use/?

Judging by the number of times that 'Separatist Female Dog" is floating through their minds, they're quiet clearly Unionists. Since Jessica and the three Unionists are standing in an alleyway nobody is really interested, or has even noticed them. While the number of people of people around is considerable, most of them are civilians, and at best would provide a brief distraction. The number of people with an intent to kill is equal to three, and all of them are standing in front of Jessica. While a couple of thieves are robbers are undoubtedly lurking around somewhere, they are probably not well armed, nor have any great desire to help Jessica out. Unless a patrol of policemen walk by, or Jessica learns to communicate with animals, she's pretty much on her own.

Ungag the guards again.

"Now, listen. I can let you go from here without any further harm, but to do that, I need you to do something for me in return. Interested?"

They nod vigorously.

"Okay.

Here's the deal: You return to wherever you guards meet up, and say this:

'We found (insert other guard's name here) in a patch of bushes a ways away from the warehouse he was supposed to be guarding. He was covered in wolf teeth marks, and most thoroughly dead. We buried him in a shallow patch to prevent the wolves from doing anything else to the body, but we cannot remember exactly where. On our way back, some other wolves ambushed us, we barely got away, though our uniforms were thoroughly savaged and, in panic, we dropped out weapons and standie-talkies.'

Do that, and you need never worry about us again. Betray us, though, and I've got bullets with your names on them, if you catch the drift.

Now, are you going to help us or do I need to use my bullets now?"

"Good.

Now remember your promise!"

Cut them loose, making sure they leave in a non-suspicious fashion, after outfitting them with torn up remnants of the dead guard's uniform.

Continue on with the plan. Say I've no intent of handing over the letter to Separatist Dogs (spit the words, if possible), and they'll not be getting their dirty hands on it. Yell "For the Union!" and attempt to run away. Try to keep an eye on their thoughts, and respond appropriately - If one of them pulls out a weapon to try and shoot me, see if I can't momentarily redirect his desire to kill against one of his buddies. Might take quite a few psi points, but even if he doesn't shoot the guy, maybe it will at least confuse them enough to give me time.

In fact, take up all their desire to kill (me), and send it back to one of them if that helps. Tweak tweak and run! Obviously if their thoughts turn towards confusion and a desire not to shoot at a self-proclaimed fellow unionist, that won't work, and don't bother. Just a fallback plan.

The two guards scamper out of the warehouse like scared dogs they are. You have absolutely no idea how this plan can possibly backfire.

Jessica's attempt to confuse the Unionists with her yells fools no one, except perhaps for her potato friend (who hardly counts).

The Unionists have initiated combat!

Jessica uses her psionic powers!
Graeme McSMGUser looks confused!

Graeme McSMGuser stands around doing nothing.

Graeme McShotgunner fires his Tactical Shotgun at Jessica!
The pellets impact against a nearby brick wall!

Graeme McRifleman impressive pulls a Hunting Rifle out of his trench coat!
The .34 bullet hits Jessica in the lower leg, cutting an artery! (3 damage)

Graeme McRifleman declares open season on Jessica! (Hunting Rifle Damage +1)

Jessica ends combat by running away like a coward!

Jessica, being young, nimble and capable of reading minds easily outruns the Unionists in the maze of alleyways and streets.

I prod the Captain awake (He should learn to powernap), so he can observe my manufacturing of a bomb from the simple chemicals, and hopefully learn at least something from it.

(If the plan that involved the guards works, yay. If not, well, this next plan will cause plenty of confusion (a bomb of any kind, even a crude one, in an industrial area is NOT something to screw around with, and, it will draw attention from our warehouse base to wherever I detonate it, for a few days, at least), especially if the guards do their job.)

Day 3 - 08:35 (For More than a Week)

For about $5 dollars a day, you rent a self-storage cube in the city. It's a bit small, but better than nothing.

Spoiler: Prof. Kane Wilson (click to show/hide)

After determining that the only poison in the muffin is from it's high starch content, you devour it, washing it down with a nice tall bag of airline peanuts. Yummy.

Max Health: +5
Max Energy: +1

If you remember correctly, you would receive approximately fifty dollars for each turn of bar-tending that you do, plus tips of course. The bar is open from 4PM to midnight, so you should probably be there to do your job. Still, Amber would probably be able to swing a couple nights by herself.

With your working hours hammered out, you head off into the streets to enjoy the city's thriving street life. Any by enjoy I mean mug. After a couple hours of work you get $124 and $233 in loot.

Spoiler: Gerald Root (click to show/hide)

Knowing that you'll need lots of energy to chase the orphans down and drag them back into the orphanage, you quickly down the muffin. Hmm... dates.

Max Energy: +1

Since the orphans aren't exactly loitering outside of the orphanage, you have no choice but to go into town and hunt them down yourself. Several hours of searching and trying not to look like a pedophile nets you several orphans. Admittedly your knowledge of Hawaiian law is shaky, but you should be able to earn around fifteen dollars a day for each of them. Unfortunately, you can't just simply open up an orphanage and collect money from the government. No, you have to have a host of inspectors come in to check the place out, forms have to be filled and bribes made. Normally you would solve these problems with a stern letter and a roundhouse kick to the face, but these days your ability to punch people through brick walls counts for little.

Spoiler: Esquire Xavier Omon (click to show/hide)

It's a good thing that you saw that video on how to turn vegetables into pillows. It's quite handy right now. Normally 'The Man' would come along and tell you that you can't sleep in the streets, but the GM is going on a trip, and frankly doesn't have the time to do a Blow-by-Blow, so get a full, uninterrupted (though highly uncomfortable) morning of sleep.

Max Innovation Points: +1
Innovation Points: +1

Energy: +1

Spoiler: John Evly (click to show/hide)

Through a series of wild and improbable yet exciting events, you eventually manage to trade the deed to the restaurant for a mild beating. Seeing as you thought that it'd take at least one day to get your hands on the thing, everything went better than expected.

Alexander Zane has gained the effect:
Tired
Effect: ACC: -5% with all weapons. -1 to all rolls
Duration: Lasts until next time your sleep.

Description: Get some sleep.

Spoiler: Alexander Zane (click to show/hide)

You'd have thought that the semi-noxious gases produced by Sargent Rick's chemistry might prevent you from falling asleep, but the lost of feeling in your extremities just makes it easier.

Energy: +2

Spoiler: Capt Joun Quire (click to show/hide)

The morning passes by quietly, with no guards or policemen interrupting your bomb-making. You manage to make a crude explosive. If you're lucky you could probably blast a hole in a brick wall, and at the very least tear apart the metal siding that they construct warehouses out of. The explosive is useless as a weapon though. The fuse length is around 4~12 seconds, and trying to cook it is probably the stupidest thing you could do. Additionally, the fuse is the kind that hisses loudly and smokes badly, so good luck making a booby trap with it. Still, it's highly explosive, so i- also, you shouldn't be bumping it around too much, in case something breaks and defuses the whole thing. But it's a fully functioning explosive, and good en- and try to keep it away from heat or cold, because at the very least it'd affect the strength of the blast. But the explos- water. Water is bad for it as well.

...

Where was I again?

Sargent Rick has gained the effect:
Tired
Effect: ACC: -5% with all weapons. -1 to all rolls
Duration: Lasts until next time your sleep.

Description: Get some sleep. You don't want to be handling explosives when you're tired. It's the third rule of explosives training. The first rule is "You do not talk about explosives training." The second is "You DO NOT talk about explosives training. Seriously. I could get fired if they find out."

Spoiler: Sargent Rick (click to show/hide)

Having escaped from the Unionists, Jessica heads out for the Green American Embassy. When she arrives, she finds the gates to the embassy bared and locked. According to the sign, the embassy hasn't paid its rent in a couple months, and thus the building has been repossessed by the Holstien & Juan Holding Company. Huh, who knew that embassies had to pay rent? You'd have thought that the Hawaiian government would provide the land or something.

With nobody from the embassy to talk to, Jessica decides to take a quick peek at the letter. Just a nice, long, quick peek. The letter is covered in dry blood, and thus most of it is illegible. Through careful reading and a whole lot of guessing, Jessica makes out the words "Joseph G. Totten", "a", "76th Kaua Street", "meeting", "$5,000", "The", "S. Mary Jane", "Louisiana", "Swordfish" and "liberty".
