So sweet it must be to work in those fields under the sun, with a little wind softly swaying the grasses. And if in need of a snack, you just need to stick out your tongue towards the small flying insects overhead...

Unless it's not appropriate behavior for a civilized frog?

No, that's the whole idea. Kevekii ain't keen on plant eating, they don't know what a bread is. If they happen to have wild berries growing outside, lucky them, but these are different kind of farms.

Frog races would settle near water sources for obvious reasons, but they would utilize the ponds and streams for another purposes, not just breeding. They would dig channels, irrigate the soil and create artificial wetlands, where they would put a colony of insects, as a food source for the household. And not just wetlands for the flying kind, these food farms could be designed to host other critters such as worms or roaches.

The farm would be frequently visited by each member of the household when they got hungry. In the ancient times, Kevekii would rarely prepare meals, only if they were expecting guests, eating would not be viewed as anything of social value otherwise. Insects themselves, of all kinds, were not held in very high regard, they were considered "bloodless" creatures, therefore of no importance and it was their purpose and nature to be eaten by beings of higher significance.

The world of the Kevekii is fascinating!

Insects always have the bad role... :P

So I've been experimenting with painting space/layering visual elements vs drawing lines and defining everything with as few strokes as possible... painting always kind of turned me off for some reason, but idk I've wanted to get better at it lately... I guess I've felt like I've been lacking some tools in the toolbox whenever I tried to make comics, like it was hard to just improvise or sketch out scenes, so hopefully as I get better at "painting" I'll start feelings a little more comfortable or natural at blocking things out and adjusting them as I go--rather than trying to get everything right right away? I guess?

Well here's a little side by side.
