Kafma

Kafma means "ginger" in Kevekiii Kvakeii, but is also how they call herbalists. Ginger concoctions were popular by household masters. Boiling water in the ancient times, or heating anything really was quite a feat, you usually needed a wizard for that (wizards were the top craftsmen, and the only craftsmen available at the time for some difficult tasks such as metalworking). Having a functional fireplace elevated your household greatly.

Musical instruments were fairly complicated to make, drums needed cloth (leather was forbidden), wind instruments needed precise carpentry, string as well and strings on top of it, so get a wizard. So only those truly dedicated had a instrument of their own. They had to build it themselves, or inherited something from a predecessor.



Or just be a wizard yourself.

Vow of fealty

Many warriors from the shores would move onto the northern border, so they could defend the lands of Kevekii. There, they would offer servitude to local leaders. A custom was formed after some time. It went like this:

A Kofikek (Keeper of the bowl, a person in charge of a bowl, usually the oldest daughter. Bowls were the deal.) of the household would fetch a bowl and pour some water in. If the bowl was used for eating, it needed to be ritually purified. The warrior would let a bit of his blood into the bowl, and present it to the master of the household (the male one, preferably). If the master accepted, he would spill the blood onto the floor. If he refused, he would order the Kofikek to spill it outside the household. But they usually accepted, who wouldn't want a brave warrior appear at their threshold and promise you loyalty?

It's nice to see that your Kevek universe is getting increasingly complex. It's funny also to imagine frogs eating ginger! As it's a spice that originally comes from tropical countries in the real world, I suppose its popularity could contribute to the creation of an important trade route in your fictive universe. Maybe you could have a Ginger Road instead of a Silk Road?

Kevekii don't. So they eat just small stuff, insect, berries, or mashed stuff. All other frog races have some sort of teeth.

Early Egheevin races (sentient)

First inhabitants of Egheevin were kvaksas, sent there from a different world. They are frog-like creatures, with bullfrog teeth, they can live up to hundred years (years are of a different length on Egheevin from ours). Females lay from one to five eggs once every four years. They have natural resistance to saltwater, and can drink it in place of regular water. There is a higher number of wizards among them in comparison to other races.

In year of 2, Velaka Agiis cleansed his kvaksa followers, creating Kevekii. These are like kvaksas, but they lost their teeth, they hate salt, and their lifespan is only forty years at most. They are also more clumsy with tools.

In the year of 7, Velaka Perins created his own race of frog giants, Ykewakaii and sent them to Egheevin. These are much bigger than the other frog races, they have very rough skin, two horn-like lumps behind their eyes, and bullfrog teeth. They have great survival ability and can live in the harshest of wastelands.

In the year of 91 during the Dream War, Qv'uaksna created a new races out of some kvaksas - Vasnaras. These have bright skin colors, black hair, and innate gift of magic. There is very few of them, for they are sterile. New Vasnaras can be created by transforming a kvaksa via a ritual.



Here is a size comparison to men, who weren't in Egheevin at the time, but the frog races knew them as "the semi-perfect form", and the most powerful of wizards could transform into them.

Kevekii, kvaksas and Vasnaras are of the same size, bigger then real life frogs, large as an adult human head. Ykewakaii are high up to a human waist, so don't mess with them!

At the far right is a mekavka, a goat like creature native to Egheevin. Their existence and origins are puzzling to other races, even Velakaii themselves. They appeared at the far north and proceeded to move south. There are very diverse, of many different hair colors and horn shapes. Some of them are animals, some are sentient and capable of speech.

I remember being one of the people that contributed to the original idea for the tailoring based anime but I don't think I was the one that came up with the flying scissors.

This seems like the kind of thing you could base an anime off of, one where you have to battle ancient tailors with magic needles on top a mountain where you fly around on giant scissors while screaming your plans to defeat them.

Or you could make some pants or something.

Your comparison pictures are very useful: I thought that Ykewakaii were bigger than humans and the other frog races slightly smaller than the real Ykewakaii. And I fully approve the existence of mysterious sentient goats.
