Realized I haven't done anything in quite a while, so I doodled a space cat.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm feeling kind of stuck in a work-sleep-work-sleep cycle.

Further work gets done. I have a name in mind now for the fort, though I still have yet to gen a world, which is why the two doing the talking still have no faces or hair really. In case it hasn't been figured out, I'll be using Dwarfest Dungeon as one of the main mod elements (similar to a separate project I'll be doing much later down the line, Irontorch, which I showed some stuff for a while back.) I'm hoping I'll get a Crusader or Bounty Hunter among my embark crew, cause they're my favorite classes visually.

I modified this little intro blurb from Skyrim Unbound's to suit the nature of the mods I'll be employing here, of which if anyone has any suggestions to shoot me, I'm all ears.

c r u n c h y indeed.

But hey, it wraps up the concept, so that's cool.

Digging this! Got a lot of energy to it.

Added another chapter to my Divinity 2 Pacifist playthrough, if you're interested in reading about a neurotic lizard desperately trying to survive an RPG without descending into MurderHobo-dom : https://imgur.com/gallery/Om9HeoX

Figured I'd pop everything together, see how it looks, even if unfinished.

Still not done sorting out mods, and so our heroes still have no define features, but I think I have my intro all nice and sorted. Yes I'm throwing the name in twice because I can. Mind the typos.

I'll probably use different fonts for different characters in these page bits, just so it's clearer who's talking in situations like the bottom.

I must say that the right-to-left throws me off a bit.

Why is it right to left? You're writing it in English...

Clearly that means you are not a man of culture.  :P

If I had to have an explanation, it's because I tend to read a lot of manga and do so in bursts every couple months. Kind of a boring weeb-y reason, but doing it right-to-left feels more normal because of that I guess.  :-\ I imagined it in that sort of format, and figured I may as well run with it that way.

It is a bit jarring for other people though, I'll agree to that. Cause Egan's not the first to say that to me.

Wait, that writing format is unusual? Huh. I didn’t even notice. I guess it’s good I don’t do comics. Then again, I can’t draw, so I probably have bigger problems in that case.

Either way, looks neat.

Good if you can't focus on a single project long enough to make a full game. Or for making an entire large game, if you feel like it.

Oy vey, it's been a while since i posted here! So much awesome stuff folks, great work all round. :D

Reason why i've been mildly absent is partly because of Stellaris (as is usual) and partly because i've messed around a shit ton with Linux, got tired of Windows' bullshit. Sadly still have to keep a windoze boot around, my tablet won't work right on Linux. Full honesty, nearly a dealbreaker, even though i love how much Linux lets you mess around with everything. :V

but, doobles

Edit: Oh also, forgot this little thing; i tried remaking one of my old sprites from my Cortex Command modding days.

I guess there is something of a difference to be seen, even if the new one might not work that well in-game without an outline. :V (also worth considering is how big this gun actually is in-game)

@Shook - I personally like the pistol on the left more even though it's less detailed, but I chalk that up to me liking chunkier-looking guns.

Wait, that writing format is unusual? Huh. I didn’t even notice.

It is, for native English speakers. More so when it's an English speaker choosing to do their storytelling like that.

Course maybe I'm really just a foreigner who's unusually good at speaking and writing in English overall, and all these years I've been fooling everyone!

I really like the swordsnek’s serpentine heritage drawing, Shook. Also literally everything else in that spoiler tag.

I am a native English speaker, so I guess I’m just weird. To be fair, I forget words every now and again anyways, so I might not be very good at it.
