Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

Ooooooooh boy my conlang is going strong and I've put some pretty interesting features in it.  The most hilarious feature so far is that all the verb tenses stack on top of each other to create really monstrous amalgamations, such as "Zenisotobodazokonog" which translates to "We might not have been leading"
I haven't done much with nouns, other than giving them definite and indefinite suffixes, and adjectives/adverbs have been pretty untouched grammar-wise, but I'm up to ~70 words so far!

I also want to create a conscript for it, but I don't know which writing system I want to use.

Still very much a WIP. Might have to rework his forearms, the perspective is not great.

Looking at just his upper body, he looks like a superhero

HEH, it's true actually. CRUSADERMAN TO THE RESCUE? :v

Also fun fact: Nagas are a 10 meter long sapient snake species in Shadowrun, and they're playable. They have good charisma, and as such can they be surprisingly competent face-type characters.

This particular snek is also a mage, because the Magic Fingers spell is very useful when you don't have any hands of your own. :U

The pose and clothing design are pretty superheroish, aren't they? Unfortunately, the mainstream Church of Sarenrae would have to call him Hereticman, not Crusaderman. :P

Charismatic snek best snek.

Also, more progress on the WIP, since I'm posting anyway:

Opinion: Should I give him irises? I like the current effect, since he probably shouldn't look entirely human while channeling the power of the divine, but it's a bit weird.

It looks like his eyes are closed, or at least (his) left eye is, the one farther back looks a bit weird.  If you wanted to do eyes open-no iris I'd say pick a different toned light color for the eyes so it doesn't just look like skin.

After maybe a third of it done I am now wishing I had gone for simplified lines and symbols instead of a 'painted/satellite' style image.

Yeah, I realised a little while after posting that his right eye was messed up in general.

Spoiler: Finished (click to show/hide)

I went with irises in the end. His slightly quizzical expression is clearer with them, although the 'brows probably help too.

His legs are in the Shadow Plane or something, I dunno.

Well, first of all that's a very good ant-sorcerer. So cheers to that! Also, come play Picture Wars with us! Make an army! The trick is that we focus on smaller sprites mostly, and also, a lot of people don't work with such organic shapes, which makes it a little easier.

That looks pretty good! With practice you start to get a lot faster. Software can help, to a degree, but there's at least one artist I look up to who uses Microsoft Paint. What program did you use?
