I made more tiles for the Fire Emblem on Forums tileset.

This time I went with plain walls and detailed floorwork ;v

Inspired by that I made a bit more tilework for myself.
Ignore the fact it's cropped poorly, I just snipped it out of a map I was working on. Don't want to spoil the surprise for my players, and all.

I also made a sprite using an outline GUNIN made, under the tentative name of Hussar.

Does anyone have any recommendations about the tools I should use for doing traditional line art? Mostly I want to be able to draw on the page without having to worry about erasing those lines afterward while I'm in my sketching/idea phase.

@Gig that was a great podcast :P
Thanks! I did all the editing. It took us extra time to record the gameplay from the relevant games, do you think it was worth it?

What you need is probably a kneaded eraser, since it won't erase the heavier lines. Either that, or ink after sketching, in which case you can freely plow over the entire drawing with a regular eraser without worrying about erasing the final lines. :v
A second alternative would be to somehow get hold of a non-photo blue pencil, which would either disappear in scans entirely or be very easy to remove digitally. I have no experience with this, though, so i can't verify the effectiveness of it.

@Gunin

What shook said, also try lighter lines, as in, sketch very very lightly so it's not an issue of erasing it, or completely ignoring the light lines because the main ones you do for real will be stronger. Here's an example, and even though he's using something completely different from pencils (and somewhat difficult to do right if I may add) the principle is the same. He leaves all the sketchy groundwork in there because it's so light that you don't really notice it that much when compared to the much stronger lines of the main deal.

I bought some nice non repro blue pencils. Can confirm that kneaded erasers are amazing but the whole point is that I dun wanna erase cuz lazyyyyy ;v So those sound best for minimizing that.

Don't want to erase? Work in pen. Problem solved. :D

@Gunin, generally, yeah the recordings were nice. Adwarf was the third guy, just to be sure, right?
Adwarf is the southern sounding American. Gig is British. I am...not sure how to describe my own voice but it's different from theirs.

2nd version of the piano composition I posted a while back. I'd say it's about the right length, but I hesitate to call it finished, it could probably use a bunch of rearranging:

I do my very rough sketch drafting in 4H and 2H, which generally works pretty well.

Today is "as-yet-nameless GunFran character day" for me, it seems.

There's still some improvements to be made to the second image even as I look at it right now (I complete forgot to color and shade the chain on her belt, and the shading overall could use a few touchups since I kinda just rushed it), but hey, I'm pretty satisfied with how this day (or week, really) has turned out.
Uploaded the edited version, ft. fixed belt chain, more pronounced lighting and highlights. Good stuff.

Dang, Maks, that looks rad as hell and awesome.

Uhh... I just whipped up a helmet looking thing in Autocad just to shake some rust off.  Pretty bare-bones, but I don't think it turned out too bad considering I haven't used Autocad in a while.
