Today I made a twitter bot that dispenses facts about D&D monsters, classes & races. Some of the best facts were seen in testing and won't be seen on twitter:

 In Eberron, dinosaurs get the Pugilist feat.
 As of 4E, loxos are all lawful-evil.
 In Dragonlance, pacifist priests can use Mithral Skeleton.
 On the Dragon Coast, true dragons can use Arcane Cantata.
 In D&D Basic, blue dragons are considered to be tiny creatures.
 In the 4e D&D character builder, weresharks are proficient with heavy crossbows.
 In Mystara, fire giants usually come from the Elemental Plane of Fire.
 In Pathfinder, cheetahs can use Inner Depths of the Soul.
 In Blackmoor, fire elementals can be hired for 5gp/day.
 In D&D 5E, badgers speak Quori.
 

Hopefully, the bot's actual output will catch up with this genius.

Go to Deviant Art and look at pixel art that's not picture wars. Draw inspiration from those. Conglomerate art from many people will almost never be as good as what you'd get if those people each worked on their own pieces. Trying to imitate it is not going to make you a better artist, even if you're specifically trying to get better for picture wars.

Start over at learning to draw lighting and shading. Look up photos of how basic shapes are shaded; try to duplicate them with 3-4 colors.
Don't try to do night scenes as well-lit unless they're actually somewhere well-lit. The back of that tree, for instance, should barely be distinguishable from the night sky.
Your methods of drawing light cones/circles are pretty bad. Empty sky does not behave like that unless it's filled with fog/smoke. If that sky is, it sure doesn't look it.

Stop filling a third of your pictures with single-color dirt. Just completely crop it out and your picture gets better.

Your pixel guy is no better artistically than a stick figure. That is not a gun firing pose. He's very boring.
That alien looks like something just dropped into your picture from space invaders. Its detailing doesn't fit anything else in the picture. It also looks like it's just .. sitting there, with its wings rotated 90 degrees away from standard flying position.
Your flashlight that looks like a lightsaber isn't projecting light nearly forward enough, and it seems to be held up by a blade of grass on the light beam.

Neat idea, but it sorta looks like the upper jaw is bent upwards. I don't think real bee dragon upper jaws do that :v

Regardless, fine. Picture wars seems to have an unpleasant mash of conflicting styles that makes it unappealing as a whole, even if particular parts are good. As I assume it's a multiple person contribution sort of thing, without knowing which bits are yours, we can't really comment on that, either.

And Nirur Torir basically said anything I'd say about your image, as well, though I'll add it seems to have been poorly cropped for the larger image. But it's bland. It's very basic, with little to no variation in colours.

Depends. I didin't exactly wanted to get in a match here because, honestly, it's fucking shit. While I do not claim to be better, but people here just... there is barely any rules, not to mention complete lack the ones about style. While I do agree that Picture (what the fuck is with this name even, it was Pixel Wars since always, only the forums were named Picture Wars due to drama) Wars have a problem with conflicting styles, but once the people that reach at least medicority at it, it looks pretty good and doesn't hurt your eyes usually. And then, people here just... a lot of it isin't even Pixel Art. The fucking wizard dudes, the mech thing which is fucking horrendous. The only promising people would be the dude who made the Star Wars ISDs and maybe the fiery dude next to my Imperial Guard coming from the left. Also the Lemons dude because despite his army is ultra-simple, he seems to get the concept very damn well.
Also, IIRC, his are the space ships sitting in crater in middle.

Eh, I am just kinda angry right now because I know a lot of dudes back from the forum who are godly at both PW pixel art and regular one and you guys just made it pretty clear that Pixel Wars isisn't pixel art.

Well, you've done a poor job of communicating that if you have to explain it trough text. It's up to you as the artist to convey as much of the narrative as possible trough your piece (unless you're being intentionally obtuse, but that's a whole different ball game tbh), if you have to resort to giving explanations as to why something is like that it means you need to step back and rethink the piece and what it's showing, compared to what you want it to show, then figure out how to bring it closer to your intended idea.

Now, all the pixel art stuff is beyond me so I can't comment on that but what Nirur said is mostly spot on so do what he advised, he knows his shit.
