Finally got off my ass and finished my NaNo cover. Kind of a PITA but it's the first real coherent art project I've done pretty much from scratch. Total outside resources: PS brush set and 1 pic of smoke for the masking layer on the title.

Ooo, nice! Great lighting, i love how the shadows aren't actually drawn, which gives this really neat effect that i don't know how to describe with words but IT'S NEAT.

Noice. I actually kind of like the uncoloured ones better, but that might just be me and my fondness for uncoloured line drawings. :v

It's totally weird though, i don't expect my drawings to turn out as well as they do. I'm not even saying that to stroke my own ego; i'm often genuinely surprised that A: i didn't fuck it up, and B: that it actually looks presentable. I guess i'm just not quite used to being fartsy yet. :v
