I'm a tad bit jealous, really. Here I am, 17 years old and unable to draw things.
[...]I think you're missing the detail in that I seem to literally have a mental illness that causes the things I draw and the things I see to become heavily distorted.
Ciiiin? I'll nudge you hard on your specificity again
I'm unsure how you've learned how to describe yourself with such...severity, but please balance it out with critical thinking here. o_o
Self-esteem issues?
Either way--chill on the jelly. I only started drawing when I was 18. That's after years of observation and study--but no field practice. I had to constantly listen to music [I liked] to get the flow going.
And then it came out well
Problem is, self-judgements.
So...dude, you can seriously draw things. Just adjust that wording there to 'draw things to my expectations' or something.
...And no, you don't have a mental illness there. Maybe a sleight of perception, but seriously not an illness. From how it comes off online anyway. -.-
I think you're missing the detail in that I seem to literally have a mental illness that causes the things I draw and the things I see to become heavily distorted.
Maybe you can find a style where this serves you?
That's how I draw, as seen in the ISG in my sig.
...Because this looks pretty normal. Maybe confusion of perspective (which is what I am messy with) but...really. Mental illness is quite a leap [and can easily be confused if you're unsure what you're describing is messy at...unless this IS REALLY what has been told to you and is NOT self-diagnosed instead.]
