Holy f*ck... you even did the folds in cloth? Aren't they meant to be really, really hard?

In my experience, that applies to literally everything about art. Cloth folds are just another of those things you have to practice to get good at - like faces, poses, foreshortening (man, screw foreshortening), and all that.

Nonetheless, those are damn good Araph. The only issue I can see is that their legs seem a little too short, or their waists a little too low, or something.

Edit: damn you, Tawa. The one time I make a really stupid typo. The one time. :P

The thing with cloth that I've been told (since I hadn't ever dedicated enough time to figure it out properly) is that what matters is the hanging or attachment points. If you can figure out where it hangs from and what the shape of the underlaying object is then folds themselves aren't that hard to figure out. After that you just apply light to them to make them look like folds (while keeping the material of the cloth in mind).

ALWAYS CHROMED STEEL, ALL THE TIME

That looks pretty good!  Though I was a bit confused about the puncher's torso, since to me it looks like we're seeing the back of his right arm's shoulder.  The punchee looks like he just got knocked out instantly and is in the middle of Rag-dolling HL2 style.
I don't know why but when something is replaced with the word of it, it's hilarious.
What are you talking about, that thing is perfect! I especially love the punching guy's face, and the fact that the other one have the word "fist" instead of  his fists. It's comedy gold.
Aw shiet, thanks guise. <3
The reality behind "fist" is that i got too lazy to draw the punchee's fists, a fact which also makes itself glaringly obvious on all the feet. My fault is probably that i expect to be able to draw super good with very little time and effort. :v

Sadly nothing new from me today, blame my lazy ass for that. It's not that I don't have anything to draw, I've got so many requests in the other thread. I should really get back to it, do you guys have any tips for that? I can't ever seem to get the motivation to draw.
Well, my techniques probably only contribute to procrastination, but i'm usually like "lol chill nobody's hating you for not drawing". Unless you've been commissioned or are otherwise getting paid for it, of course. :v

also here's creepfish

Maybe creep fish just has really small eyes, and a gaping wound on the side of his head. Look at it that way, and he's vaguely friendly.

He's clearly amphibious so that he can be creepy in your room while you sleep, and then return to the depths just before you wake up.

A while back I posted some images from a game I'm working on.

After quite a while of absolutely nothing happening with it, I have decided to overhaul the objective of the game and call it something new, based on a new setting.

So I present to you: Arcanus Technica: Incursus

Have a screenshot!

ooo poses and proportions

i am SO BAD AT THOSE

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Mostly i'm just too lazy to do it properly. :v

Naw man, you've got the proportions pretty much down (shoulder/arm/torso/leg length, cartoony faces aside) and that's the most painful part. Now you just gotta add more circles!
You can construct pretty much any organic (and many inorganic) object with circles to represent muscles and surfaces (the face and knees, for instance). Using circles also helps immensely with foreshortening, which, as Arx postulated, is terrible.

That having been said, all the circles in the world don't let me draw tophatsauruses like Shook does. Make of that what you will.

Holy f*ck... you even did the folds in cloth? Aren't they meant to be really, really hard?

I'm flattered by your reaction. :) As Arx and Jopax said, though, it's really just a whole lotta practice and observation.

Nonetheless, those are damn good Araph. The only issue I can see is that their legs seem a little too short, or their waists a little too low, or something.

Thanks! There's always something a little off in any one of my drawings, but at least they keep getting closer and closer and closer to reality.

So I present to you: Arcanus Technica: Incursus

Games are relevant to my interests. I'll be keeping an eye on this!

^Araph: The hand is really good! The perspective as well. The only nitpick I got are his pecs and abs. The sun in the background is perfect, though.

^Cinder: Is that crate walking? ._.

It's clearly Solid Snake and the box's love child.

Also looking at the real life model now, it does look like it's walking.

That box should be the protagonist for the next Metal Gear.

Anyways, a page from my sketchbook. I wish I had a scanner.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I guess I'll try uploading it again tomorrow.
