Vector art is indeed nice. What program did you use?
-delicious cake has been cut-

What program are you using, because it looks like it might be Inkscape.
Yeah, I did use Inkscape. It was the first free one I found, so I just went with it.

I did this out of boredom.

(I took a picture of my face, drew it out on one side, drew the mask over the other (Which is the other half of the photo.))

I'm digging that character design. You've also got some awesome semi-realistic-cartoon-style cloth going on there, which I am mad jelly over.

I did a thing. Sort of. It's not really art, but I don't think it merits a new thread. I've started LPing games because I have no life and apparently love the sound of my own voice.

I am really curious what you guys would recommend changing/working on. I've recently started paying attention to commonalities between successful Let's Players and trying to emulate them (which probably ends up making me sound like I'm blatantly copying them), but it's kinda hard to self-evaluate that sort of thing.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Spontaneously decided to do this piece for one of the community games and story threads I'm participating in.
Good damn is it hard to draw with a mouse on MSPaint. I'm all rusty now, haven't attempted some semi-serious drawing since I was enrolled in the school art program like what 14 years old? I'm like 30 now D:

Never been quite good with colors, especially backgrounds, so not even gonna attempt drawing reflective water surfaces. But I guess it turned out alright. Might try again some other time.

I started doing some tiles for a D&D-style game:

I also started making character sprites to go with it. I'll post them when I'm done with them.

the textures look nice but i guess it's gonna be more cumbersome to align them because they're not isometric or square

I tried assembling them into something and it turns out they're not that hard to align. Here's the result:

They look like they aren't exactly straight due to the way I made them. I should probably fix that before I continue.

Yeah... I'd add one pixel's width to the bottom and top, making them a continuation of the "two pixel" edge instead of the "short pixel" edge. As is all four corners are "short", and making the two side ones long is impossible.

I think you're doing really well for your first try. I've got no real complaints, just keep practicing and it'll keep getting easier. Keep up the excellent work.

This kind of reminds me of Geralt from the Witcher, but with less fabulous white hair.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).
