I CAST BEARD
That would be such an awesome spell. And having the beard amplifies the power of your magic... it's just a really expensive spell with a time limit, one that is prohibited except in the most dire of situations... which leads to epic scenes where mages (of either gender) sprout massive beards, save the day, and shed at the end of their glorious rampage.
What if someone under the effect of Beard cast Beard? :P
If you were rich/well-supplied enough, you could achieve UNLIMITED POWAH due to exponential beard. Also killing everyone by smothering them in luscious beard hair, but that'd just be a side effect.
Since the spell has a time limit, and there is a limit to how much you can cast, at some point you'd reach a Critical Beard Density where it becomes impossible to cast any more Beards.
But what about circlejerk casting?

Well, the time limit only means that there's a limit to how high the Beard multiplier can go, provided that Beard doesn't also reduce casting time. The maximum Beardiplier possible would be equal to m^(d/c), where m is the base multiplier, c is the casting time, and d is the duration. This assumes that Beard also keeps casting time constant. If casting time is reduced by Beard, and the reduction pushes the ratio of d/c under 1, then the theoretical maximum power is infinite.

The main problem with this is that you'd experience a drop in power after casting a spell proportional to the casting time of the spell cast, due to the interruption of the delicate balance between casting Beard and the time limit. So, Beard would give you only a scarce few maximally powerful spells, with a decline in power after that point until equilibrium is again reached. Unless it is possible to cast more than one spell at the same time, ofc.

I may have over-thought this a little.

Attach a fruit to one of the beard wizards, and you've got II.

You don't need a time limit or cast limit, if somebody casts Beard too much they suffocate in their own beard hair.

That's how my grandfather Urist went.

We didn't even need to buy him a burial shroud.

That's very nice, especially without reference. And the collar is interesting. I tend to be bad at comparisons, but it reminds me of Khan's shirt from Wrath of Khan, except this guy 's wearing it not so open and with an undershirt.

He's looking at airplanes.
If that sense of quiet awe his expression seems to be giving off is any indication, he has the appropriate reaction to the things. I mean, you get on one of those, and suddenly you're in chair in the sky! The sky!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

More concept art drawn at 3 AM with no reference and, experimentally, without erasing.

He's looking at airplanes.

That's an exceptional face for drawing without a reference.

If the style of the one you worked out is anything to go by, then the ones I'm most interested in, in order, are
2nd row far right
2nd row 3rd to right
3rd row far left
1st row 4th to right
3rd row 3rd to right
4th row 3rd to right
4th row far left
top row 2nd to right
And then the others in any order.
