In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I touched up a sprite I did a while back and dropped it to 16 colors.

Thoughts? Complaints?
Really like the grim design of the first one, the later kind of goes away from that but the style seems nicer to look at. All in all, lovely pixel art, post more often :3

I like them. 1-line stuff is tricky. Are these friends you see everyday, or are they far?

They're far away. Most of them don't know that I have ever done anything remotely artistic in my life. They know me as "that emotionally repressed uptight math nerd."

Those usually tend to be the best kind of people. Send them anyways, i'm sure they'll appreciate the effort.

Go ahead and send them! They look good to me. Unless there's some addition that you want on them for sure first, but as-is, they look sendable.

This.

Vector, that is very fine linework! :D
And SEND THEM those c: The more y'all know about each other, the more the trust is, and the more friendship blossoms!
Also I really do like that mechanical arm. The structure of the joint is very...whole.

I think ya did, by mentioning others appreciating it or the effort. :)
Same goes to all others. I can't comment on the wow of all the art because that's a lot of art.

I read Vector's description before opening the spoiler. I'm all prepared for them to be lackluster, thought-that-counts sorts of dealies. I click the spoiler. I am baffled by the lies Vector has told me. Those're actually pretty damn pretty. I wish I had one. I'd keep it in between my meteorite and my letter opener on my Shelf of Nice Things.

Shit, son, maybe they're not perfect, but they're good.

Single-line drawing sans-reference, and at that quality? Not bad. I generally hated doing those, especially given the amount of detail I usually apply. Makes my wrist hurt by the end of the whole trip (up to maybe 2-5 minutes, depending on size of non-stop drawing the single line, kinda like an etch-a-sketch; skipping on the paper really screws you up). Especially using those larger drawing pads, like newsprint pads and such. Took some drawing classes that required doing those. So yeah, even I gotta say those look good.

I'll probably be posting a bunch of drawings tomorrow
Remind me if I forget
I've actually been practicing drawing and I've got a few good ones compared to the crap I normally doodle

Confirming what everyone before me has said, those are unreasonably good single-line drawings and i'd be happy if i got something like that from the resident math geek, so you should totally send them in the best SURPRISE ATTACK manner. :D

Also feeling the need to say that these are quite nice, i'm normally not a fan of most manga-ish styles, but you're making them very likable. c:

also also i made a facedrawing at the drawing course yesterday and it took TWO HOURS

Phone cam makes it look smoother than it is, but phone cam also recognizes it as a face, so i got that going for me. :U
