so i'm trying to maek gaems, one of 'em is a 3d rts\grand strategy hybrid with customizable civilizations and armies that i want to make on unity. i'm very new at programing and bad at managing my time so sometimes i waste what little free time i have on less productive things like making uninished stuff

these are some unfinished character models that i haven't decided if i'll scrap because i haven't decided if uv mapping them individually is easier than remaking them by editing the one mesh that i mapped already

also perhaps i shouldn't be so concerned with the fine details of the face texture, since they're not that proeminent from the point of view of an rts camera

You could go the Godus route of character style and not even give them textured details. While that game was really not very good, I absolutely loved the art style for it.

Ok, honestly, I believe its the hair making me lean a bit more towards rainbow Dany.
They look more...tidy(?). Like floppy ears ._.
Or maybe the eyes. RainbowDany has more ovalesque ones.
Or...or the chin being a tiny bit curved?

Both are very nice, but I lean slightly towards rainbow because with the light colors, the lines feel slightly blurry without the contours.

So I'm working on a joke game in RPG Maker (a very elaborate joke, mind, with some actual design thought behind it, for the most part) and while we do have a dedicated artist for the game, I did sketch one of the enemies, which is roughly based on a certain member of the Awesomenauts forums that will go unnamed. (as are almost characters in the game, which is very much meta and doesn't give a damn about the fourth wall)
