So guess who's working on their second card :D

These are two early sketches of possible designs:

Just from the pictures, I'd have to pick the second. Though both are pretty goddamn awesome.

Yeah, the second (though both are cool). I think your strength is in landscapes. (Doesn't mean you should give up on everything else, though - just practice it, you know, all that jazz.)

I think that's atleast partially because  I personally liked the idea of the second one more so I gave a bit more time to it. And it's generally more interesting and has more narrative potential. The first one is just "magikbooklel" while the second gives quite a lot of questions, and I love me my questions :D

That dripping water from it really gives a great hovering impression, as if it has only recently popped out of the lake all like "HEY GUYS WHAT'S GOING ON UP HERE?". It's quite obvious that you were more inspired for the second one, really. :v

Seriously, grats on being able to monetize your art! Is good. Also, you've improved a ton since way back when.

Technically it's a fartsy bastardization of my first name ("Søren", i'd be surprised if you could pick out more than an S and Ø in that signature), but i think i like the "snake with a sword" explanation better, on the basis of it being totally viable and in character for me. :v (i also tried to give it eyes and eyebrows, but that took more effort than i care to spend on what is supposed to be a super fast signature)

Thanks mate, and all ye other mateys for yer kind words and maybe thoughts although i can't read your minds. <3
Hopefully it's the baby steps to something bigger, although frankly, it's also pretty neat to not have a million things that need doing. Studying and Angry Laser Space are already taking a lot of attention. :v

It's rather quaint though, in the past year or so, the only thing that has changed noticably is the fact that i found the new brush in Krita, which made quite a noticable change due to it being... Well, different from the fat pencil in Paint. Beyond that though, there's surprisingly little difference to be found between now and then.

i would write/post more now but i am in very legitimate danger of falling asleep on my laptop so yeah beep boop

A rado segment from a story I was working on. I'm changing a significant portion of the story, so I have no idea I'll end up using thi bit, but I figured I'd share it anyway.

Well done, Shook! Hearty felicitations!

In a strange coincidence, I made a couple of drawings that relate eerily closely to Angle's story:

Haven't drawn in a while.

So, I uh, meant to be sketching a semi-realistic sketch to practice the human figure and proportions. Instead I branched off and made a surreal-horror sketch after I accidentally made the starting line of her nose too big. I like where it went from there.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The black lines and blue planning lines are on the same layer, otherwise I would've cleaned it up more before saving it. Don't feel like redrawing the black lines in a new layer.

Sometimes leaving planning lines in can add a certain quality to a digital sketch, makes it look like it has more detail/rudimentary shading.
