I realized I should probably know this, but, what is boot?

I was thinking he was like an ogre with a boot obsession or something

Did a double game review this time.  Transistor and Nintendo 3DS street pass games, part 1.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. :D Glad you like it. And yeah, the tanks were something that I should've changed - they stand out too much. (Even though that's the thing blowing up. I should've used a different texture/style.) It was made as an entry for the Limit Theory fan contest. I haven't seen much on Bay12 about Limit Theory, but if you liked games like Freelancer/Elite, it'd probably be right up your alley. It's where the background came from (planet and nebula): http://youtu.be/4r6N7_HAsZo?t=10m25s

Hugo - Bootman looks amusing. XD I'm interested to know what his personality is like, if you thought that far.

Unfortunately, I hadn't. Um... I'll get back to you on that. Open to suggestions.

And for what it's worth, the only thing that looked out of place in that space thing is that explosion in roughly the middle of the image.

I hope some of you guys like musicals, because I made an SFM version of Bring Him Home from Les Mis. I've gotten a bit better at animating since my last video, but it's still pretty rough in some parts.

I like it. I'd suggest having him open his mouth more on the long notes, though.

More experimental doodles. This one's a bit fuglier than the last two I think but it was fun messing around with some of the brushes and the filters.

Glad you liked it! And yeah, I'm still not that good at lip-syncing. Or animating in general. I'm improving, at least; I just need more practice.

I think I recall learning somewhere that keeping the model moving every parts slightly all the time will make the movement more natural and less jerky.

Maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there, but I feel like at some shots even though he's moving slightly, he still seem a bit too still.
Maybe it's the chest.

I don't know. I found it hilarious.

I made a head mesh from extrusion, and without triangles. Previously I've only succeeded at making such things by modifying a sphere. This way creates a more efficient model that's easier to animate, or something like that.
