Wow Tiruin! That's really impressive. Since you used pencil how did you keep it looking so nice for three years? That's one thing I don't like about working with pencil is that they smear overtime.

Smearing is usually from you touching it with your fingers. Fading can happen over time, though, depending on where it's stored.

If it sits in a folder undisturbed it usually remains in a pretty good condition. If you can't store it like that you could always get one of those spray thingies which locks the graphite onto the paper. Not sure what's the name, but it's usually used for graphite and charcoal drawings, a transparent spray. That keeps it nice and clean regardless of touching and whatnot.
