One of the deities for a forum game that I'm working on, likely to be later modified and made more cluttered.

I'm trying to find a style that I like for these characters, and I'm also experimenting with brushes and blend modes, and trying to improve my painting method.  The first left one was colored while I worked on the values, and the right one was in grey scale, (the way it's supposed to be done).  I'm starting to loosen up again.  It's been years since I could really draw anything in a way that felt spontaneous.

These two are supposed to be mounted raiders.  I haven't quite figured out what I want the mounts to be, though.

So I've been playing Knock Knock (the Russian videogame, that is) recently, and I (sort of) finished it. I'm going to burn off some of the pants-wetting fear I had playing it by making fun of one of the sillier enemies in it.

As for your drawing, the only issue I see is the wings(which you've already mentioned) which mainly seems like the further one isn't pointing in the direction the body is. Is his cane embedded in the ground?

I shall try to fix this tomorrow, i intend to shade the chap as well. Also yes, his cane is indeed stuck into the ground, gentledragon is pretty stronk and heavy. :v

Yeah, main problem is that the wings don't mesh too well with the rest of the body. The right wing should be obscured by the neck somewhat if it's parallel to the left one (and it usually is). Maybe fix the position of the right hind leg, tho that one isn't that bad.

Also, with folded wings, the attachment point is not the point furthest forward, it exists about midway down the length of the exposed wing part, so right now your dragon's wings appear to be attached to his rump.

Pretty solid all around, although in some cases it's very hard to make out the details, especially on the third one. This can easily be solved with GRATUITOUS CONTRAST or outlines, although i see that your style doesn't make use of outlines (which is also totally okay). Forgive my brevity, i am tired and it's messing with my head. :I

also i fiddled a bit more with gentledragon and hopefully the wings are slightly less shitty now

It could also very easily be argued that those wings are far too small to carry him, but hey, dragons have jetpacks nowadays, right?
