I have decided that I suck with Paint and that my future lies in GIMP.

I don't know how half the thinks work in GIMP. I usually take a guess as to what each slider does.
When I started out in gimp I basically tried ALL THE THE TUTORIALS!!! and that's how i know how to use it now.
And here I just downloaded it this morning, decided that I was afraid of instruction manuals, and figured most of what I needed of it out on my own.
See, you have a grounding in other programs. I was 11, with no experience using anything other than MSPaint, and with too much time on my hands.

Version 2.2, bitches. (I'm using 2.6, now).
What grounding in other programs?

None at all. I mean, I tried Paint out, but that's not really comparable at all to GIMP. A mechanical pencil and some paper is the closest experience I have to graphics programs.

I actually tried to draw loface, but then one of the eyes melted. Since that looked hideous, i scribbled it over with massive fury and wrote my immediate reaction in angry letters. :U

SS27-A

Still need to work on freehand perspective, or just draw more lines in pencil or something
Not really happy with the 3d view of it, or the top down view.
Or my scanning of it for that matter

That is quite an impressive hand.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Why thank you. the trick for hands i find is to base them off a skeletal hand, then add flesh/metal casing. Works well for me.

BTW, does the floor look reflective. i tried, but not sure how well it worked.

Well, to be honest, it doesn't really look reflective, no. Depending on how reflective it is, i THINK it'd look better if the reflection was more pronounced, as well as directly in extension of the object on the floor. If it looks to be mirrored, then that's a good thing. You did nicely with the box... machine... thing on the left, though, that's a good reflection. (as well as coolio said, hee hee)
Also, if it's a really sharp reflection like that of glass, the reflection doesn't get significantly more dim with distance. If it's a more rough surface, it'd obviously get blurred by a certain amount, but the blur is a constant, so distant objects will be more affected by it than close objects.

also i got me a SKETCH BOOK so weeeeeeeee
