Except for me, you can substitute caffeine with excessive inspiration.
Okay I think I've actually got this AU Terra sprite looking pretty acceptable. Hopefully, it's noticeable that she's wearing a sort of light breastplate and bracers instead of the leotard from her original appearance. And if I was very, very lucky, she gives an impression of her eyes being cold and empty, as she's wearing a Slave Crown here, but I may be projecting what I envision onto the actual image there. Anything I need to clean up, general tips, etc.? The armor isn't very interesting, since that's just a recolor of the original sprite with more dakka (itself recolors from other sprites), but I can't really imagine what else to do with it.
Ok so question: Made from scratch or modified? Because if it's from scratch, then that's really awesome. In any case, it's a bit hard to see the details of such a relatively dark sprite against this glaringly bright background. Any chance of getting a zoomed-in version (as in x2 size with no interpolation)? Easier to see the details that way, and thus easier to give actual useful feedback. :U
Running dog.
I LIKE THIS
If i have to nitpick though, it kind of irks me how the head has a static moment in between all the movement. Ideally, you'll want every single part of the sprite to be in motion during something like a run (like you did with the rest of the body), it doesn't even have to be all that big a motion. A tutorial once told me that a single pixel of movement can add a whole lot of life to the sprite! That's not to discredit the rest of the dawg though, it's a lovely run-cycle. c:
also yesterday i took 15 minutes to practice some BODY LANGUAGE via stickmen
Fairly interesting practice actually, since i'm used to drawing most of the expression via faces. The lack of a face complicates that notion. (and yes i know they're neither proportionally or anatomically correct, they're stickmen)
edit: also faces
