I originally considered a background, but then my laziness happened. Still, two characters actually interacting in detail is a rare thing from me.
For a bit of lore-wise clarification, the noodle is Nudiro, who's a rather small but still very powerful eastern dragon who's the absolute top swordmaster in that particular world and the third most powerful being overall, while the shadowy figure is a very average abyssal demon who wasn't expecting to actually find a challenge. The two are canonically fighting on par with each other, with the fight lasting for a week before they mutually declared it a draw. On one hand, it speaks highly for Nudiro's ability that he can match an abyssal demon, but on the other, it's maybe a bit worrying that a merely average abyssal demon is all it took to match him. :v

Why didn't I just give her mitten hands? Lots of games have hands with unmoveable fingers, or mitten hands with painted-on fingers, and look just fine. But now I've spent a few hours on this weird mess and feel obligated to carry it all the way through.

I am kinda stuck here. Really wish I had somebody experienced to ask this question, but alas. So the deal is: I was modeling a North African nimcha sword, right? And I did the model okay, but some of my materials look like absolute cancer in the render for some reason, despite looking as intended in the preview.

I'm also using a displacement modifier with a displacement map generated by InsaneBump.

The blade steel bothers me the most - for some reason, the pitting/dulled spots that are visible in the preview are completely invisible in the render. Not that I'm very happy with the rest, but this one bothers me the most.
