So, I made a map thing. Well, four possible variations of a map thing. Not sure which one I prefer just yet.
The colors of the landmass are best by a good margin in the last version, but the clouds are in the way. They do look pretty nice over the ocean, though.

Edit: eeeeee, someone favorited it!!! Sorry for adding this in, so it's in tiny text but I feel so happy!

Reminds me a lot of the faces in Hotline Miami, probably due to the violently outlined eyes and mouth. A thing i've noticed is that you generally don't need to put a line if there's not some kind of overlap or crease (or possibly a very sharp corner), so clearly this guy's got some SERIOUS cheekbones. :v

Can't be arsed to clean it up right now, so enjoy the frivolous display of (lacking) construction. :v

Guts of an apartment building, yeah. I made all the walls, floors, concrete elements and others invisible. Its only 7 storeys, though most of it is out of the screenshot.

Overuse of gradients? Or livening up a style that used too many flat colors?

@_@ I like that. Heeey, I saw that in pencil form too! :3 It looks brilliant! (I like how you made it look 3d with the lighting).

I hope to be at that kind of level one day. :'( So inspiring!

Nah, you used just enough.... it's really aesthetically pleasing. I do have a handful of minor nitpicks, though, if you want them.

Hmm... That was not the response I expected at all. I'm really conflicted now, on how I'm going to proceed with this thing.  ::)

But - but - perspective! D:
What's off about it? The POV is about level with her torso, so the only thing that looks really off to me is the floor

Hmm, i don't know if there's a nice way to put it, so let me put it like this:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

TOO MANY INTERSECTIONS, ideally all the lines should cross at one point. :I
The horizontal line along the top of the couch was my original bid at a horizon (based on the floor and window on the right), but... Yeah, i think the image speaks for itself (but if you want a better explanation, i shall provide).
THAT BEING SAID, that is overall a very good usage of gradients. My biggest beef here is that the pillows and arm rests of the couch look more like cylinders than rounded boxes, though of course, a sufficiently rounded box seen from the side is pretty much indistinguishable from a cylinder. This could probably also be helped by employing a bit of delicious perspective to it, since it really doesn't take much for our brains to go like "YO THAT HAS DEPTH, IT'S NOT A FLAT THING". You don't have to nail it perfectly outside of really fine art, i don't have the patience for that myself either, but if the lines all converge in roughly the same area(s, if using 2- or 3-point perspective), that's a pretty good start.

edit: also here have a cowboy gecko that i was asked if i could draw

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

clearly those are the best legs i have ever drawn
