Wow, found a website called piskel... but pixel animation seems very difficult. I tried to put a nod and a shine in. It gave me a headache.

It is a gif, they tend to be very blurry.

No, they're just limited to 256 colors.

The problem is this forum's image resizing. It would look better if you resized it with a different program (In GIMP, for example, Image > Scale Image, with interpolation set to none).

The nod needs to be slower, I think, and you'll probably have to redraw the head to position features properly and all that, instead of just bobbing straight down.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's a bit odd to be nodding continuously like that, but such is the curse of looping gifs. :v

Yay sketching again, and actually making something other than a drunken mess that I give up on halfway trough

Since so many people have an avatar rotation, I decided to set up my own avatar rotation.

What do you mean that's not what an avatar rotation is?

Some stray pixels when the mouth is at the top and two steps after that (facing right).

It's clever. Not entirely original, but constructed in a fresh way. There was one guy who had his avatar on a "real" rotator, but just four versions of one avatar, each rotated like yours is actively in the act of doing; not animated, but similar.

It should be easy to keep track of you, in any case. :)

Yeah, I noticed that after I uploaded it. I think it might have something to do with rotating an image with an even number of pixels on each side, combined with GIMP's layering system, so that you can see the previous frame at the edges of the current one. I'll fix that later.

Well seeing as Dutrius cracked open the bad puns barrel, here's yet another ISG image, this time a book by a "made-up" soppy fantasy romance author. Pay special attention to the name in the bottom right :P. Anatomy tips would be great too, as I've yet to draw people much on my tablet.

While I did this from a picture of an armour suit, I still need anatomy tips.

Ooo, nice! I'm a sucker for heavy armour. :v
Also re: anatomy, the best way to learn is obviously to draw naked people (not even kidding), but a thing you can do to make it easier on yourself is to make a gorillion circles.
