I have finally discovered that GIMP's group selection tools have an option to limit the selection based on other layers. I draw lines on their own layers, and can now select thin interior segments filled with partially transparent pixels, without it selecting the entire line.

AKA, less time spent manually filling in large blocks of colors. I am happy now.

Was bored. Drew a sci-fi robot concept sketch thing. Took 20 minutes, was quick and and rough and dirty and not professional at all.

Highly impractical but sci-fi ain't about realism, it's about cool shit. So here's an overly thin robot with too many arm joints and a weird neck. there's the little stick figure displaying roughly how the arms attach to the robot body in the upper right corner.

Happy shookmas, although this drawing has nothing to do with shookmas.

Step 1: Secure remote pan/tilt camera mount to hood, make video of local scenery, but with a bad point of view.
Step 2: Build an aluminum 'flying camera mount' for better PoV
Step 3: Get fucked over by vibrations I really should've accounted for.
