I really like the cartoony ASCII faces. It's looks almost like Shook was converted to text art. Also, I don't think there's ever been an ASCII game that has portraits the way graphical CRPGs do, so props for creativity.

Not what Shook has drawn, but literally Shook himself, has been converted into ASCII. He's trapped in the game now. There is no hope.
