This is a family tree for a culture in one of my worldbuilding projects, showing kinship terms.

This looks pretty cool. Have you ever read "Citizen of the Galaxy" by Robert Heinlein? It has a lot of cool concepts about moieties, kinship and such.

I haven't.

There's a lot of really cool kinship systems out there, and this isn't actually all that different from what you get in Europe. There's the Hawai'ian kinship system, for example, where only sex and generation are distinguished. So your aunts and uncles get the same word as your mother and father, and your cousins are referred to with the same terms as your siblings. (Hawai'ians can distinguish closer from further relatives, of course, they just use the same terms for them.)

(Actually, what I worry about most is that this might not really fit into any existing system...it doesn't distinguish parallel from cross cousins, for example, which is very common.)

Sketching a character concept. Been thinking of trying a full attempt at a comic. Just, like, a one page thing, but with each panel drawn in a full size and scaled down so each panel has decent image quality and detail and stuff. In planning stages, no concrete stuff yet aside from a single concept sketch of one of the two unnamed main characters.

This is that sketch.

such sketch. Much wow. Very detail. Such proportion. Much anatomy.

but hey, I found the pencil tool is more useful for fine lines in the inking stage than the brush tool.

Feelin' sketchy yesterday, so I tried to illustrate the 11/18 devlog. Spoiled for bigness:

...wow how'd I forget that. Derp. I mean. Yeah. Totally intentional. *retreats to fix*

Like the comic there, smirk. Cartoony and surreal. The frame representing when the game crashed is particularly creative.

Also, your lines are so much cleaner than when I was drawing comics like that.
