I have a hard time making raptors/dinosaur/whatever, so I decided to give another shot at making one. However, it's currently 5:30AM for me, so I can't go on, but here's my progress.

If you're wondering why the tail is cut off, I made this at the bottom right of the canvas, then move the whole thing to the middle before uploading. There wasn't enough room for the end of the tail at its original place.

Suffice to say, i really quite like how that's looking so far.

Anyway, did a thing when I should be reading a thing for college. No regrets. started as a lineart practice sketch based on a reference screenshot from an anime. Became an experiment in grayscale painting. All gray shading was done with a single gray tone and copious use of layering, shading layers, and watercolor brush mode and erasing.
